Title: anyone know about Akai MPC's?

I wanna buy a MPC-1000 off my friend, barely used


other than the 4000, it's supposed to be just as good and can do everything the 200XL and 3000 can do

and it's supposedly much easier to start off with


anything to add or any suggestions or anything I should know about?

I'm just tryin to have some shit to fuck around with....

The 100's are pretty good man, i found them easy 2 use. If its cheap then u cant go wrong!

Only thing I would mention is people tend to have problems with the pads on the 1k after a while and they are generally though not to be as responsive as those on other models.
