So I been listening to this lately, and I gotta say
J Flexx - Who Been There, Who Done That
That song is fuckin sick. Too bad J Flexx never released an album and pretty much fell off the face of the earth.
The remixes on this album...Who in the fuck was in charge of that shit? The remixes are god awful horrible. Especially since Deathrow was like the king of doing sick ass remixes.
-
those remixes are the highlights in my opinion
-
wow, those are possibly the worst remixes ever done. Turning classic songs, some of the best songs ever made, into something that is unlistenable is not easy to do, and usually only people like Afeni Shakur have skills like that
-
daz did the remixes right?....they were good....especially "lil ghetto boy"...butof course nuthin like the classics
-
j-flexx debut album was titled 'Stayin Alive'.
he was definately tite. hey has anybody seen the video for that 'Been There, Done That' by J Flexx that was some classic shit.
here is the j-flexx video:

i know sneed made up with dre.
-
I heard that J Flexx now tours schools warning on the dangers of gang violence.

agreed, i can't remember the last time i listened to any of the remixes off that album

shiet why would you want to? lol
-
loved this double disc, the remixes I thought were cool, Let me ride was all jazz'd up, and Lil ghetto boy sounded sick....
I like how in that j flexx song you heard the melodies to "aint no fun" etc
-
lil getto boy is one of the best remixes i have ever heard
let me ride and gin & guice are tight
g thang is ok...gives the song a different feeling
whats my name is the weakest mix on the album
and the rnb version of Dre day is funky as hell..i love it :)
-
I thought the remixes on the album were dope thats when Daz was puttin it down
-
Yeah I really like the remixes personally.
-
lol at that jerk J-Flexx, man, he should be glad that he wrote some shit for the legend, but nah he's making diss songs now
and then he wonders why he ain't got no rap deal, you know, they call it ghostwriting for a reason (plus if you check credits for keep thier heads ringing you will see that he was credited so i dunno what this j-flex fool talking about)

J Flexx was nice most peoples here agree. Youre mad cuz he dissed your hero LOL get over it I like Dre but sum of you catz act like Dre is GOd and does no wrong its just music .
-
The remixes were alright, Gin & Juice and What's My Name were tight IMO. I remember playing Me In Your World to death but the album could have done without No Vaseline (Who Been There, Who Done That was enough) and all of the pre-Death Row Pac tracks...
-
i thought the remixes were trash apart from the gin n juice one, that was dope 8)
-
The "Gin and Juice" remix sucked, but the others were hot, I dunno what everyone's hating on. The remix to "Nuthin' but a G thang" and "What'z my name" were the best.

-
J. Flexx gave dre a shoutout on "Stayin Alive" didn't he?
-
I loved the First disc, some of the remixes were okay...But "who Been there who done that" j-Flexx was a sick ass track.
-
GIn & Juice, Let Me Ride and G Thang remixes were all dope to me.Especially the G Thang one.It reallly gives the song a new feel and the beat is tight

Did I say he was wack? No, I just said that he's idiot. And I bet he didn't have any problem with Dre and dissed him just cause his gangsta ass boss told him to do it. :P
-
^^^ Yeah but J Flexx wasent the only rapper that has played Simon Says with Simon LOL I bet sum of your favorite rappers have also played SImon says like 2 Pac, Snoop, Dre, Daz, Kurupt, Dj quik, Nate dogg shall I go on LOL funny shit
-
What ever happened to J-Flexx?
-
It's been a minute since I've listened to that album, but I remember thinking that Let Me Ride remix was the absolute shit when it came out. The rest of the remixes I could do without, but that was the joint for me.
