Nah but seriously like Colombia would probably be gangsta

Why not go back to their roots and do London. Isn't that where the old GTA series (from a birds eye view) started?? I'm not sure.

Frisco, Oakland, San Jose and the whole Bay Area.
-
If the PS2 can handle 3 different cities plus a large outdoors area, then I will be very sad if a whole fucking state isn't the game.
Hell, keep San Andreas the same and give us transports to Vice City and Liberty City. Expand those cities and add in another city. Voila.

That would be cool. Although they already had a San Fierro in GTA:SA.

I wouldn't wanna Vegas style one, they've pretty much covered that with San Andreas (Las Venturas).
-
GTA: Denmark :D
or
GTA: World

Yeh GTA had Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas in it
Then GTA London came out, so that would be the next step

I really believe the next one will not be american-based.
-
Utrecht, The Netherlands ;D or maybe a few big cities from all over the world, which u can fly to??? i mean not flying urself in the game, but just buying a ticker wit the character, then u see a movie of the plane flying and then ur in another part of the world :P
-
i heard it was going to take place in the whole USA
-
yeah now that i think about it...i would love to see Italy/Sicily or South American feel to it. But i gotta admit a Chicago/Al Capone theme would be dope

Let me be a little bit serious for a minute: to tell you the truth Sicily is a wonderful place to live.
It's not like i don't know Compton, Crenshaw, Brooklyn etc..
Sicily is really wonderful: great nature, great history, monuments, hot women, great fun on there.
You can't even immagine, being there, that place is famous because of the Mafia.
I mean obviously there are some small cities where not even the Police can control it, but you don't go there on vacation, lol.
But 90-95% of the Isle is great to see, people are really really nice expecially with tourists and they'll take care of you.
But i understand that Hollywood made a lot of movies about Sicily and Mafia (exp. The Sopranos) so you guys picture it as hell.
Just to let you understand it they don't even play The Sopranos here, cause it's so obvious it's all fake and un-realistic for us Italians.
It's like i dunno playing a movie picturing Germans like Nazi's (i mean all the Germans), or i dunno English fans being all hoolygans and violent.
Stereotypes. Prejudices. But i ain't bitching about it, i just wanted to let you know.
If you can, do a holyday here in Italy and try Sicily, you'll understand a lot of things, trust me. ;)
That said, yeah it will be great to see GTA4 to take place in Italy/Sicily. Even if it's all fake, but you know.. Hollywood made great stories about it, it should be funny.
And also Chicago is cool. With Al Capone and shit.

I'm thinking either Tokyo with the Yakuza underworld or maybe a more open expanse like South America. Can't see the Chicago thing as good as it would be, because so far they haven't gone that far back in time in any of the games, but you never know.

Nah, I don't think it'll take place in Capone's times.
Rockstar already announced a game set around that time, or a little later, 1940s or early 50s I think, so I doubt they'd decide to make something similar.
The game is called L.A. Noire, here's the trailer:

I just found the official announcement:
Rockstar Games is pleased to announce a partnership with Team Bondi Pty Ltd to publish the ground-breaking next generation crime thriller L.A. Noire. Developed by Team Bondi, a new Australian based studio founded by Brendan McNamara, of The Getaway, L.A Noire is an interactive detective story set in the classic noir period of the late 1940's.
L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.

Aren't those games like ver 1.5 for the PSP?
1940's music juss won't cut it, but I wouldn't mind it being set in that time period.
-
They should make the setting these European Cities:
London Paris Barcelona Frankfurt Venice Geneva Prague Moscow Athens
How sick would that be?
