In addition to writing and performing the theme song on the new "Scarface: The World Is Yours" videogame, Cypress Hill's B-Real is working on his first solo album, "Smoke N Mirrors." The set is due next summer on his own Audio Hustlaz label and sports production from will.i.am and Fredwreck.
Once "Smoke N Mirrors" is finished, B-Real tells Billboard.com he will turn his attention to Cypress Hill's first album since 2004's "Till Death Do Us Part." Beforehand, the group will stage a five-date mini-tour beginning Friday (Oct. 27) in Los Angeles and continuing on to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, New York and Cabazon, Calif.
Meanwhile, Cypress Hill members Mellow Man Ace and Sen Dog just released the album "Ghetto Therapy" as the Reyes Brothers via Koch. B-Real produced the album track "Fright Night."
"We all help each other on our music when we can," he says. "I like both writing and producing, and expect to do a lot more in the future."
