Let's hope the trend stays that way when they release there respectibe consoles.

I own a gamecube (never got anything other than a nintendo console - cause of the exlusive titles etc.) but you donīt have to be a rocket scientist to know that the PS2 did better.
By the way, now that I think about it. Isnīt the PS2 the most successful console in history? Or is it SNES?

The ps2 was very successful and sold many, many more consoles than the Nintendo Gamecube. Who said it didn't?

im not really on sides in this whole nintendo vs sony vs xbox shit because its petty, but if u look at the Gamecube it was aimed at a younger audience (3+ to 15) with games like Mario Sunshine etc, where as the PS2 was aimed at nearly every person on the planet, it had kids games (spyro, crash bandicoot) and adult games (gta) but then also it was aimed at people that wanted a dvd player and for them to have the option to play games occasionally if they wasnt that big on games...
i think it was pretty obvious that sony sold more units with this one.

I can see the same trend w/ the upcoming Wii & Sony. But will it end up the same way? Probably
Been playing alot of her album lately, something diff. to the usual rap I listen to, it's good

nintendo's strategy is a bit different this time around though.. they're not only aiming at kids, they're rebelling against the expected "norm" in the console race.. its not the biggest fastest console.
its not super expensive, they've got the controller that anyone can understand how to use (how can it not be more natural to a person who's never got into d-pad gaming?).. they've put it in a small package.. all things like the PSP vs DS comparison.. they're not going for the hardcore "mr gotta have the best" like sony and M$.. they're trying to create a new market.. if they suceed (which from current press it seems they might well do that).. they'll make a fortune and garner more support for the console..
people are excited.. they've never been 'that' hyped from what i recall since the gameboy

Yeah, the Wii looks dope....But its obvious that the Ps2 shitted all over the Gamecube...But its still cool that there is a Gamecube cuz it does have some tight games that you can't play on the Ps2 or Xbox(360)
