Title: Babel
Post by: Javier on October 29, 2006, 09:34:03 PM: Great film, one of the best films I've seen this year. I wouldn't be shocked if it gets nominated for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and easily Best Cinematography. Dakota Fanning's little sister comes out in too lol!

It does share a smaller similiar theme, but if you enjoyed Crash then you will really enjoy Babel...it's that much better. It opens in the rest of the U.S on November 10th, right now it's only in 7 theaters and 4 of those are in L.A and the rest in N.Y lol. The theater's were sold out since it was in such limited release.

Well I hated Crash but I loved Amores perros and 21 Grams so I should love Babel.

Tried to get tickets to the premiere back a couple of months ago when it was shown at the London Film Festival but they sold out real quick, so been looking forward to this for a while.

Brilliant film, it may be quite long but I was hooked all the way through, the direction and cinematography is great too and paints the picture very well, especially in the contrast between the three places. Still don't think Iñárritu has beaten Amores Perros but this certainly gets very close!

I totally agree. Iñarritu's 2 other movies were way better. This movie does not deserve as much praise as it got
