If he releases an album under that name im pretty sure Vince Mcmahon will take gunit records to court coz i can almost garuntee McMahon has that trademarked or wotever its called because its on a hell of a lot of Rowdy Roddy Pipers merchandise, and McMahon has rights to EVERYTHING so why not that? Can someone confirm this or dis prove it? Im gona post it in Outbound and sports, because i feel it may come under both.
-
Hot Rod ain't a big name yet. Mcmahon would only care if Hot Rod was making a ton of money with that name.
-
Well he is already after The Game. Pretty wack by Vincent I do say.
-
It just came to me the other week when Piper came out wit a tshirt that said "hot rod" on the front of it, and knowing vince, it will prolly be trademarked. why trademark shit like "christian" and "new age outlaws" but not hot rod? But sik is right, watch the lawsuits flying if hot rod releases a succesful album
-
He would without a shaddow of a doubt
He was after the Game, i think he was also after another artist but Im not sure
and Hot Rod being on G-Unit will mean the album can somewhat well...yea sure their sales havent been as great as they normally were, but they still sell quite a lot nonetheless
I've also been checking to see if WWE has trademarked 'Hot Rod' and found this:
The names of all WWE programming, talent, images, likenesses and logos are the exclusive property of WWE. © 2005 World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

So i think it's just a matter of time (and proably awareness) before they do something

Vince is a fairy
-
transformers should sue g unit over hot rod ;D
-
Vince is a fairy
Yeah...You'd figure a dude that's been sued as many times as him would not want to do that to other people.

Vince is a fairy
Vince is a Genius

Vince is a fairy
Vince is a Genius
no doubt he is a genius there is no questioning that, but I hate his tactics sometimes.

yeah but the fact that the NWO almost killed WWE and Vince came back and turn the tables so bad he bought out WCW was amazing to me...HE CANT BE BEAT OR STOPPED!

vince got lucky with that though, it WCW itself that caused its downfall

yeah and the cards beat themselves against the Bears but the Bears are still 7-0 and Vince is still on top! And thats the bottom line cuz MOSAV says so
-
^^ there's no denying that
im just saying that Vince didn;t make a comeback, WCW just started falling apart and Vince got lucky on that which was why he was able to buy out WCW
-
Those Hot Rod shirts have been around forever too, so he would have a good argument. "The Game" has been used by WWE before The Game came along, but not nearly as long as "Hot Rod".

Stone Cold, The Rock and DX were no slouches in that Monday Night war. WCW didn't help it's cause by being managed by morons.

EXACTLY! and evernutally sigingin a bunch of 40 yr olds was gonna do them in...So Vince went young and was smart...so how can MO Z say Vince GOT LUCKY? His brand didnt get Stale...THATS CUZ OF HIM!
-
Vince never got lucky....he realised and new what he was doing....he brought a new attitude to WWE...that became the "it" of wrestling....while WCW became wack....and plus peeps were getting tired of NWO and all the bs weak main event matches like "hollywood" hulk hogan...WCW was never meant to beat WWE..but it was them who got lucky..thanx to the NWO...Vince is a genius...you might not agree at what everything he does...but hey? this dude is the owner of WWE...he's a business man...
-
i'll explain how Vince got lucky
for 83 weeks straight, WCW was watched more than Raw, regardless of how old the talent was
i'll give it to Vince that he let go all these big stars and WCW ended up becoming the Yankess of WCW...they spent all this money but eventually it fucked up em up
WCW went out because the nWo storyline got really old and recycled; then on top of that, they used all these new factions which were cheap and garbage copies of the nWo
when that happened, ppl stopped watching WCW because they didn't give a rat's ass about the storylines anymore, they just became stale
WCW thought of things short-term, never long-term
Vince on the other hand did, which is another thing i do give him credit for
But had WCW thought of things long-term, i GUARANTEE you WWE would've been so garbage or might not even be here...hell even ppl within WWE admit that their lives were living-hell during this time because WCW was succeeding off that
if Vince realized what he was doing, everybody within the company would've remained calm and their lives wouldn't have been crap and WWE would've bene in a better financial state
it's as simple as that
