Are these 2 video's worth copping cause its Christmas and I need some stuff to ask for ;D
-
I think so ... especially Up In Smoke.... as for Welcome 2 Deathrow... if you want an unbiased story ... definetly get that... very informative on the issue of Deathrow Records

Thats crazy how you bring that up since I watched both videos yesterday.
They are both great.
And if you got a DVD player make sure you get the Up in Smoke DVD because its way better than the tape.

:( :( :(
U know what sucks????
I don't have a DVD player, guess I'll have to settle for the VHS. :(
-
I have the VHS and DVD.... when i finally got my DVD player I bought it because i heard it was better.... it includes more, but the VHS shows the best stuff... DVD just shows behind the scenes

"as for Welcome 2 Deathrow... if you want an unbiased story ... definetly get that..."
Hi y'all,
I was just gonna say, is it really unbiased? Ain't this the movie by "Harry O", who (apparently) got ripped off by Suge?
Actually, if you want to get some info on D.R., have a look at "Have gun, will travel" by Ronin Ro. That's abook you won't put down.

It's not made by 'Harry O' but there are voice over telephone call interviews with him explaning his business relationship with Suge and DR. I wouldn't say it was biased, it looks more into the business side than the music side of DR anyways. The Snoop interview is worth copping it for, I think you only get the 'extended' Snoop interview on the DVD version though.
-
i've never seen welcome to death row and i do want to see it but never plan on buying it though and for the up in smoke, its dope cuz if you didn't go to the concert then you know how it was like....but the DVD ain't my personal favorite but its definite collecter's item. anybody got murder was the case????????

"It's not made by 'Harry O' but there are voice over telephone call interviews with him explaning his business relationship with Suge and DR."
Actually, I think it was "produced" by Harry O's wife - I can't find the ad to check tho.
-
up in smoke
-
Welcome 2 Death Row was cool but i regret buying it.. if you can rent it, do it, then decide, personally i doubt i'll ever watch it again.. just me...
-
word.. im watchin the DivX of Welcome to DeathRow atm.. i wouldn't buy it, since it costs $40 over here like alll other DVDs in Aust, but it's good to get an insight of what was happenin those days.. in a way it makes you respect Suge at the start, but in the end you realise what a CUNT he is.

Says in the credits to mine that it was 'produced' by Jeff Scheftel, Stephen A. Housden, so ???

Just dug out that ad, you're right, but she is co-C.E.O. (check it - Lydia Harris, that's Harry O's wife).
I knew she was in there somewhere....;)
So it might be a bit "biased, after all........

Welcome to Deathrow is tight, its a documentary which I s=actually enjoyed, very informative, and some really good material on there, it even has stuff on when Deathrow poached Dre from Eazy and the Ruthless crew.
10/10 From me. GET IT!!!!
