-
C-Murder re-did "Lil' Ghetto Boy".
-
Not to hate on Dre, but he sampled all those songs from somewhere else so they ain't really sampling him, just using samples they think will work cuz he made them populare.....PEACE
-
Big Punisher sampled "Deep Cover" for "Twinz" off Capital Punishment.
-

Faith Evans and Carl Thomas recently sampled Telephone Tap from the Firm CD. Now that Dre produces more from scratch instead of sampling, I'm sure you will see more people sampling from him.
-
biggie sampled dre on the intro to "ready to die" (he also sampled doggystyle) and he sampled lil ghetto boy (dre saying 'remeber they used to thump, but now they blast right' ) on the 2nd track 'thing's done changed'
the track title comes from the line before the one they sampled.
'Things done changed but it's alright
Remember they used to thump but now they blast, right'
-
twista sampled dre's nuthin but a g thang(i think) in his first album
-

Nah, they didn't sample that shit...THEY STR8 STOLE THAT, "Phone Tap" beat. LOL
-
I heard The Backstreets Boys sampled The Watcher but that was just me!
-
Masta Ace sampled the beat from "Nutthin But a G Thang" on "The INC Ride"...
Or you might wanna say he smapled Leon Haywoods "I Want'a Do Something Freaky To You"...
-
NIK, that is not true, Masta Ace never sampled Haywood or Dre, and the beat is not even remotely the same........however, the song does sample a song by the Isley Bros, as does Thug Life's Bury Me a G.
-
What the hell? Than we must be talking about different songs...Im not 100% sure thats the name of the song...But I have the album, and the beat is basically the same as Dres "Nutthin But a G Thang"...
The album is called "Sittin On Krome", go check it...
-
yall forgot about Kam, he sampled some shit from the chronic on his made in america album
-
Shyne sampled DOC's Is It Funky Enough for that song That's Gangsta. Dre did Doc's whole album from what I understand.
-
NIK, i bought the album when it came out, i am 100% sure, unless you got a one in a kind copy of the album with a different mix of INC Ride
-
What the hell? Than maybe it's a different Masta Ace album I have...I dunno dude...ask ANYONE in the world who knows Masta ace, and theyll tell you that he's sampled the Leon Haywood song before...
-
NIk, since you are an expert on Masta ace, check in you little Sitting on Chrome cd booklet, and check what song INC Ride samples......you might be surprised! It says this:
I.N.C. Ride" contains a sample from "For The Love Of You"as recorded by The Isley Brothers, copyright Sony Music.
Is that proof enough for you? This Isley Bros song has the same damn beat, and this is the same song Pac used for Bury Me a G.......ask anyone in the world dude......PEACE
-
tee is on point... it was also sampled for a never released Ras Kass joint called "Take A Deep Breath"...
-

Haywood, Leon
Come and Get Yourself Some: (20th Century 1979)
* "I Wanna Do Something Freaky to You"
Master Ace's "B Side"
;D

Damn, i am an idiot!!!!!
The remix is at the end of the album, and is called Phat Kat Ride, and i never noticed it before but you are right....sorry NIK, and thanx Overseer. The song has the whistle from G thang in the chorus, although it is very subtle.....i guess this is why i never noticed it! My bad, sorry NIk, feel free to verbally lash out at me!
Anyway, NIK, you ever listened to the original INC RIDE, the one i was talin about.....
-
Ok, now i got this all sorted out. I get it Overseer, And NIK, no kind of remix of the INC Ride samples the Haywood song. MAsta Ace did sample Haywood, but it was on the song called "B-Side" off of Sitting on CHrome (Track 5, ft. Lord Digga).
So, you were right, Ace did sample Haywood, but not on the song you thought he did....on the Phat KAt rmx, there is a whistle, and i was reaching by saying it had the G Thang sample. B-Side does have the sample, i don't know what kinda album you got NIK where you got an INC ride over the G thang beat....you are lucky!
What is really dumb is i thought Overseer meant is was the bside of the Inc ride single, lol this is all too confusing. I havent even really listened to this B-Side song in prolly five or 6 years, and i never cared much for it.....PEAAACE
-
See, I dont lie...
-
You said you had an album where INC RIDE had the sample from Haywood's track, when it was actually the song "B Side" off the same album. That is why i got confused in the first place, cuz obviously you don't have INC Ride with the G Thang beat. You were right about Ace sampling Haywood, but i wouldn't have disputed that in the first place if you wouldn't have said he did it on INC Ride......PEACE
-
i just dumped out the info from the sample faq database...
-
2Pac sampled Dre (Deep Cover) on "If I Die 2Nite"
"Tonights the night i get in some shit"
