^^^^ Lyon this year >>>>>>> Barça in good shape or not. 15 official games this year, 14 wins , 1 tied... has been champion 5 times in a row (will be a 6th, what has never been made in a major league) and 3 CL Quarter Finals in a row, this year is Lyon one

Celtic got whipped and Man U lost as well. Some of the groups (Arsenal's springs to mind) are starting to get real interesting.

Fucking greaseball bastards.

3-0 flattered them, have a look at the goals if you get the chance, schoolboy defending.

You heard right, the first goal was an own goal by him but I think NG woulda scored anyway.

The second goal is

It's a long kick from the keeper, he runs forward and misjudges the flight.  He then runs back and doesn't know where the ball is.  It falls from the sky and hits him in the face, falls perfectly for NG who is only too happy to accept the gift.

The 3rd goal was the 1st real attack they threaded together.

In saying that - we didn't deserve ANYTHING from the game.  They just broke up our play all night.  It was basically a midfield stalemate with a few errors in the early stages.

Then they killed the game late on.

Problem for you is that with Man U losing, they need something from the game against you to confirm qualification before they face Benfica, meaning that Benfica are probably going to be going into the last round of games ahead of you. Will all depend on how bothered Man U are against them in the final match and whether you guys can take the pressure of having to beat Copenhagen away from home.

I really do think, that those 2 mistakes have cost us a place in the last 16 :( :'(

Damn, didn't go the way it supposed to....well, manchester is gonna win celtic or benfica or both.....but it sucks for celtic now, maybe a tie against celtic and then we beat benfica or something like that.....cause I don't want those portuguese bastards to qualify  ;D

Personally I hope (and think) Man Utd will beat Benfica in the last game, it's just up to us to get 2 or 3 points from our final 2 games and we will qualify.

2 draws should be enough but if we lose to Man Utd we will have to beat Copenhagen.

it's interesting to see what will happen in that celtic-united game, especially when u are the home team, not an easy match.....but like u said, if we win, u have to beat copenhagen, and u should win it....

we had a best squad possible and yes we lost the game, but u still should win the game, not disrespecting copenhagen, but c'mon.....

dissapointing result for united, didnt agree with fergie making 6 changes from the weekend. We never really came to terms with that and the shocking pitch, we still had most of the possesion and the chances to win it. Overall we didnt play well though, but should have still won the game.

yeah, I agree with u that we should have won the game, but fergie had to make changes cause neville, giggsy, and louis couldn't play....

I'm disappointed for 2 reasons:

1. most importantly had you won last night the next game would not be so important and u may have done us a favour

2. copenhagen have now snuck back into it, i think man utd will finish top but it's chaos between who will finish 2nd, 3rd and 4th

a very, very bad night for celtic

true but i dont see why he made the other 3 changes especially leaving out scholes. O Shea and carrick dont carry much of a goal threat going forward. Add that to the fact fletcher was playing who is not exactly a attacking threat means ronaldo was the only attacking player in midfield.

yeah, i understand u, scholesy and carrick have been a nice midfield duo, but i guess fergie wanted to rest him.....or he gave carrick more attacking role, the role that scholes has...

the way i see it:  2 possibles scenarios

celt vs man                    cop  vs  celt
ben  vs  cop                    man vs ben

now:                              after game 5:                  after game 6:

man utd      9                  man utd    10                  man utd     13
celtic           6                 benfica      7                    celtic         8/10
benfica        4                  celtic        7                    benfica       7
copenhagen 4                 copenhagen 4                  copenhagen  4/5

now:                           after game 5:                      after game 6:
man utd       9              man utd       12                    man utd      15
celtic            6              benfica         7                     celtic           7/9
benfica         4              celtic            6                     benfica         7
copenhagen  4              copenhagen  4                     copenhagen  4

My point is: we are 3 clear of Benfica and I believe Man Utd will beat them at Old Trafford, meaning the most points they can achieve is 7.

Therefore as long as we win one of our 2 games or get 2 draws, we should progress.  (or even 2 wins :D)

i hope celtic make it through, what im really hoping for is liverpool to get barca in the next round and barca to hammer them.

Lol, thanks.

I'm just desparately tryin to figure out scenarios that will allow us to scrape thru.

Had we got a draw or win last night, I would be in a cocky mood about progressing but now im just straight shittin myself.
