Yup i said it. Just watched his matches from WM2, against Rikki Steamboat at WM3 and against Ric Flair at WM8 and there isnt a doubt in my mind he was a better athlete/performer than anyone around in that time, and i include Hulk Hogan, Brett Hart and young Shawn MIchaels in that category.
Macho Man really was the king.
YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
-
a lot of people will agree with you... me personally no, but macho man = top 5
-
IMO Bret Hart = g.o.a.t
Randy Savage = Top 10-15 wrestler ever IMO
-
he's highly underrated. something tells me he won't make the hall of fame though...
-

Yeah, great wrestler, was always my favourite, does anyone know if the Ricky Steamboat WM3 match is on Youtube at all, I couldn't find it when I searched. Or, failing that does anyone have it as a video file they can upload (preferably not on Rapidshare, never works for me!).

don't think it is true
him and Vince don't get along anyways.....it's almost as rocky as the Warrior's relationship with WWE
-
The greatest wrestler ever? Why even ask this question?! It's The Rock son!!! With Jeff Hardy, Mankind and Goldust trailing behind....
-
they did a poll on the website on whether he should or should not be inducted and most people said no
-
Im sorry HBK= GOAT
he carried the company when it was at its worst, although Austin and Rock didnt hurt. HBK alng with Taker were always there and leading Main Events for years. Bret Hart was Great but even HBK outshined him. Macho Man=top 7 for sure he was a great in ring performer coimapred to Hogan and WArrior who were TERRIBLE wrestlers.

hes also a dope rapper ::) ::) ::)
lmao, i saw this on wikipedia:
Music career
Savage had pursued a career as a rap artist; his debut album Be a Man was released on October 7, 2003. His album was met with scathing reviews; according to a review by Dan Aquilante of the New York Post, his album "defies the laws of physics by blowing and sucking at the same time." Another critic described the vocals as sounding like "Nick Nolte after a whiskey and sandpaper binge." The title track of the album was intended to make fun of Hulk Hogan.

99% of those dream matches sucked balls though, cause some of the wrestlers werent in their prime during the time of the "dream matches"

Macho Man was a badass....who else would wear neon colored jackets and tights complete with a neon colored nacho hat? or make a rap cd calling out hogan? ...dude was the shit...Vince needs to do a DVD about this guy...i've been anticipating one for the longest....
-
Vince should at least put Savage and Bruno in the Hall. Savage carried many people to classic matches, including the Ultimate Warrior. The Warrior CD was talking about how Savage was crazy enough, and good enough to carry the Warrior to a great match, and Savage was a perfectionist. I loved Macho back in the day, and I would love to see him, and Bruno and Backlund in the Hall. That'd be one hell of a class, and make the Hall complete, IMO. I mean, some people in there, don't belong, but they snub the last champion to have a full year run, and the two longest reigning champion. Weird.

lol Macho was the shit. All those matches named were classics. I watched several of his matches from the wrestlemania anthology dvds and all of his matches were highly entertaining. Macho is without a doubt one of the 5 best during my time of watching. Macho not being in the hall = much less credibility for the hall imo. Good thread :)
