There are lots of Arab Iranians in south of iran but alot of them consider themselves Iranians and not arabs cuz they've been there hundreds or years. 
About 30% of iran understands or speaks arabic cuz of religious and in the arab's cases cuz of family.  I guess the ones you know are trying to associate more with arabs than persians cuz of the people surrounding them.  But most those so-called ay'rabs have never left iran to even consider themselves arabs, so it doesnt make sense : /

LOL! If that Iron Sheik lookin' guy wasn't such a pussycat, he woulda knocked the first guy out trying to put money down their shirts. Towards the end, it was like he was pimping them out.
