Too Much
that is very single friendly... and it has nate on the hook... and the whole vibe of the beat is tight... flow is tight... hook is tight... i think this is definatly his best bet....
-
gota disagree, people dont check for Nate Dogg like they used to, IMO there are several songs that should be the next single before this one.
-
scream on em is nice. swizz is on it, hes hot right now. the song is great.

as far as mass appeal which track do you think would do better? maybe the Kanye track if anything... and the first track on the Looking at you or the jamie foxx track... i would say it would have to be one of those 4 for sure... but i would go with the nate track.

scream on em
just bumped it and it wouldnt be a bad choice... but i just think swizz beats beats sound too busy.... but its not a bad track...

to be honest, I think "California Vacation" could blow up if released as the next single in the same way that "New York" did for Ja Rule
-
word. cali vaca could be a hit.
-
Just fuck the world and release "Remedy"
-
"Around The World" or "Wouldn't Get Far"
btw: why the fuck isn't "Let's Ride" getting any play? :-[
-
scream on em is prolly the worst song on the album...no way should that be a single
i take that back...i was thinkg of another song....this woud be a good third single tho, not second
i dont care if his next single does well, so imo he should pick "remedy" or "compton" as the next single
peace

^Let's Ride is #17 on the Rap Top 40, it was #20 last week and it's #36 on the Urban Top 40...I'm sure the Jamie Foxx track will do better on the charts though... 8)

Too much has a radio friendly beat, but the content is NOT radio friendly at all, they would have to bleep out the whole hook unless he redoes a clean one..

i can see Too Much blowing up.
-
One Night would be great single 8)
-
That song with Nate is good, until Nate comes in.
I actually like the bridge that Game has before Nate's hook. That could've been a great hook.
"Wouldn't Get Far" would be a good single to release.
-
Obviously "Wouldn't Get Far." Lol at people saying "Scream on Em" and "California Vacation." ::) C'mon, people. Those songs are made for niche audiences, which is the exact opposite of what singles are meant to attract.

wouldnt get far would be a terrible choice. did you listen to the lyrics, or just the beat?
-
TOo Much or Compton. Scream On Em would be a terrible choice as would Cali Vaction. It wouldn't blow up like N.Y. did 4 Ja, cause B.E.T. & MTV like New york rap 10x better then westside rap.
-
remedy is to gangsta for radio it cant be that. the one wit jamie fox or too much would work
OR the one wit kayne west
-
Isn't it strange that "Scream On Em" is one of Swizz Beatz best beats hes ever made but turns out to be the worst record on the album.
-
15-the_game-around_the_world_(feat_jamie_foxx)_(produced_by_mr_porter)
smoothest track by far & should b the next single

highly agree with you... if Too Much doesnt get chosen.
-
i wonder how it would be if Nate was on the hook of "Cali Vacation?" you think that would sell more on the radio if they chose it as a single?

Yep...the content is "too gangsta for radio"
I'm Billy the Kid till they split my wig
I come back from the dead and tell em kill me again
Put my head on the barrel dare a nigga to shoot me
I'm gangsta took more shots than Tookie
You don't hear shit like that on the radio nowadays

Ain't No Fun?? i know it wasnt a single but sure as hell should have been.... its huge still to this day... and its even worst than this track....
and ludas area codes
and pacs all bout you
and so on...
-
^^Things are different now, "Area Codes" was explicit but not as bad as this. I agree that the lyrics in this song just dont fit the style of music that is heard on the radio, I dont see this song ever being a single. Nate Dogg isnt anything special anymore, not trying to hate but its not a law anymore that Nate dogg jumping on a hook is gona equal a hit song, he is played out.

That and you have Akon and T-Pain also to choose from for hooks. Nate really had no competition for years other than Domino when he came out. Butch Cassidy never blew up that much and neither did Kokane so if you wanted a bomb ass hook, Nate is your guy. I think he is 1 or 2 radio singles away from being back in the spotlight but his comp got a little bit more crowded.
-
1st choice: Too Much (obvious radio single)
2nd choice: One Night (needs a better hook tho)
3rd choice: Doctor's Advocate (pull some Dreams shit again)
I would _like_ to see a video for Compton, but that is just not happening.

true. however, if they can pull it off with "u and dat", "too much" shouldn't be a problem at all.
