damn i don't know how my friend managed to do this but he has a burnt copy of stillmatic!
right now we're halfway through the album and from what i've heard so far, this shit is FUCKING HOT, even if the next 20 minutes or so are shit....great shit y'all should pick up!

i actually asked him today at lunch, and he said his brother burnt it for him off morpheous...i got kazaa (which is the same thing) and i didn't find it. so his brother probably got the non-retail version like engies said, and i only heard it once so i barley know any of the lyrics by heart
and to the dude saying the shit abut how much i hate jay-z and yadda yadda yadda, get the fuck off jay-z's sack, quit being pond and like PE said "don't beleive the hype"

Jake, I didn't say you were hating on Jay just because you are a Nas fan (although there are a lot of people who do that). All I'm saying is I don't understand how you can like Nas' music so much but you hate Jay-Z with a passion. They are VERY similar in terms of their talent and the type of music they make. I can understand liking one more than the other but not LOVING one and HATING the other.
As far as your little "Don't Believe The Hype" statement, and what you said about me being on his dick, I am not one of these kids who is all of a sudden jocking Hov' since The Blueprint came out. In fact his new album is probably my least favorite besides Vol. 3. I have been following his career since his first single "In My Lifetime" came out (before Reasonable Doubt), therefore "hype" is not a factor for me. Fuck I even have the old Jaz albums with Jigga playing the hypeman (late '80s & early '90s).

Dedicato, Stillmatic isn't out yet, it will be in stores Dec. 18. Some tracks are on the net, but not all.....Illmatic is classic, i will say it is better, no matter how good Stilmatic is. Of course, it depends what you are into, cuz Illmatic is not commercial at all, it is quite plain, real hip hop.....

Logic, tons of people don't like Nas' first album, they just pretend they do......ask them to quote some lyrics or something, and they are like "uhh, well..."
The album is quite basic, nothing like what is popular today. It is in my top 5 of all time, i love it, but i can see how if oyu didn't buy it when it came out you might not like it.......

the sad fact is that nas will never put out an album like illmatic again simply because he has to much commercial love. not that being commerical stops the making of great albums, because there are great commercial hip hop albums like stankonia. but nas has made so many weak commercial songs that have given him sales and love from the trl squad that he has to put some type of bullshit on each album to keep the fans that make him money. even though there are glimpses of old nas on tracks like your the man, you know he's gonna put some shit on the album with swizz beatz or the trackmasters that is weak. besides, nas doesn't have the talent that outkast does of making an album that appeals to everyone.
