wow, I had read a lot of good reviews on here about this album, but I finally bumped it in my ride the other day, and I gotta say I have no desire to ever listen to it again. Its easily his worst album. A majority of the beats of pretty bad. Xzibit can do much better than this, I'm very dissapointed.
-
yeah I feel you
the only ones I play are "Poppin Off", "Movin In Your Chucks", "On Bail", and "Rollin (remix)"
his lyrics are boring and he doesn't have any hunger like all his previous records
it's like you're listening to it and you want that shit to speed up or something
lot of simple lyrics too, not comin with it at all
he needs to kick it with the Jelly Roll productions, we don't need a whole album done by him
when that happens it gets boring and repetitive
listening to this album depresses me and puts me in a weird mood, like I just came down from a mushroom high or something.... not pleasant
it's got no replay value that's for sure
-
I think it's a little better than Weapons of Mass Destruction, but not by much & that in't saying much anyways.
It's liek X is trying to follow trends (ie. Concenctrate) when he should just do his own damn thing.
-
Worser than 'Weapons Of Mass Destruction"? I don't think so. This album has a little replay value of it.
-
i only liked 2 songs
-
some of ya tend to overrate the shit outta some wack ass albums...i gotta agree w/ the others....this album def is the worst Xzibit album i heard...
-
I liked it but the beats were a bit of a let down. Lyrically I thought he was on point for almost all of the album.
-
Another thing, I don't think X & Jelly Roll mesh well at all.
-
I never was into his music, so this one aint that different too me.

It's a good album but definitely not an album to bump in your ride.
try bumpin the album while your studyin or readin or something and i think you'll reconsider

i wish there was a phone that really went "chirp chirp" like kurupt said, i would buy two and keep chirping myself.
-
"Thank you" makes up for a lot...
-
Yes, horrible album but I liked "WOMD".

I like "Ram Part Division", "Family Values", "On Bail", "Say It To My Face", "Poppin Off", & "Movin' In Your Chucks"...the other tracks I don't really mess with...
-
I wanna mess with the girl in your avatar. :P
-
Yeah, I was wondering why so many people on here were hyping up this album like it was the shit, but in reality it's sounds like shit, lol. The album was wack, period. Good 2 know alot of people on here thinks it's sucks, too - I thought I was the only one.
-

No doubt. Though I don't think anybody fits well with Jelly Roll, I feel like dude's done only a couple good beats, but putting X and Jelly Roll together never yields good results.
X's albums have been borderline wack after Restless. Either he needs to get back with Dre again, or maybe better yet, get back with the Likwit.

cosign. He needs to get back with E-Swift and Tha Liks.

This album slaps. People should give it a spin on their CD player to try it out for at least an hour.
-
^ slaps... lol
-
Listening to it now, its def not Xzibit best album but its not as bad as some people are trying to make out.
-
Because most people assume bad beats=bad lyrics. That was the arguement when he first came into the rap game. The beats are wack. If he was with Dre then he would have a classic. And Restless is a bangin album. I agree the beats are weak on alot of the tracks, but X had some nice lyrics on here.
-
X lost me with this one, I only bump track 6, the one with Daz & T-Pain & the last song. His voice sounds all fucked up now, and it's ironic that on "Concentrate" he says how other rappers flow akward, when he has his most akward flow ever, sounding like a rookie. Plus, he blatantly stole that "Ram Part Division" from Sly Bopgy. STraight jackin.

^ slaps... lol
Sorry if I live in America.
-
I agree there are some weaker songs, but Thank You alone makes it worth buying it!

now thank you is my favorite song. but its not a miracle worker
-
its good he hooked back up with King T & Quik but that alone couldnt save this album. Theres a few tracks im feelin but im c;in myself skipping alot too. My copy came thru the post the other day and its got little replay value right now. But ill have it in my car this week so ill be able to make a better judgment.
-
This album wasn't really what I expected...
But Thank You and the Song with Quik and King T are :o :o
But it ain't his worst album...
-
I just listened to it, there is some shaky production on there. It's not as good as WOMD. There are some great songs on there but there are some ??? ??? ??? songs on there too. It's way too inconsistent and again the beat selection extremely questionable.
-
Like I said in my appreciation thread, I am glad people are checking out the album and giving their opinion on it. I hate when you sit and talk to people and they say "oh he wack" and never listen to the album. Good or bad, you gotta listen to a album and form a opinion. With that said, I do think it is his weakest album, but because of the beats. I thought lyrically he still has heat.
-
I've been saying this since the album leaked.....The album has a weird feeling to it...It's not something that you can really just listen to and nod your head and say damn...There are a couple of traccs here and there but nothing stands out and has even less replay value then "Man vs Machine"......The board tends to overhype alot of West Coast albums..Only a couple of albums I feel are worth the money theez day's.

True and this board overly shits on albums too and comes back a month later and thinks it is a classic so no never know, but that is where I am at with the album. Is it better or worse than MVM.
