Just a heads up for any folk in London - a record shop off Tottenham Court Road has the album already for £9. They've obviously bought in the European version 'cause the sticker on the front is translated - PM me if you want to know the store, not sure whether I should broadcast it or not.
Interestingly, they have both covers, but the guy told me there's absolutely no difference between the two versions. The limited edition is just a different cover - nothing else, no new tracks or bonuses of any sort. Seems kinds shitty.
Bought my copy anyway :)
-
the one i pre-ordered comes with a dvd (at least that's what it says in the description)
-
Yeah, that's what I though too - I was gonna buy the limited edition cover before the guy mentioned it.
Strange - maybe there's another special edition with a DVD... wouldn't make much sense though. Oh well, if there's another version with a DVD I'll just have to cop that too :)
-
just checked, they mailed it out today so ill get it tomorrow. ill be able to tell!
and I still only heard like 6 cuts of the album! damn I made it lol
-
what record shop?
i'm going to "deal real" just off carnaby st on saturday
-
yeah often visit this store, they get albums in from america really quick.
bought 3 copies of TWDY Lead the way explicit for only £3 each ! that one is hard to find over here unedited.
-
i fucks with asda
-
Yeah, Asda's good.
Aaaaaanyway...
It's CD City, in Soho off Oxford Street. They always get the US releases in before they drop and put 'em on the shelf for £10 or less. Is that the one you mean Rudki?

Props, I'm checking that out on the way home from work. Is this the place behind Virgin Megastores?
-
Bit further up Oxford Street, then off a side road to the left as you walk away from Virgin.
It's on Berwick Street, I think... down from Reckless Records and opposite Mister CD... great area for hip-hop in case you didn't know. See if you can get any other info on the limited edition ;D

I've only heard the two singles: One Blood and Let's Ride ---> beat that! ;D It was very tempting to d/l the album, but it's so much more fun bumping a highly anticipated album on a decent sound system when you haven't heard it yet 8)
Anyway, I checked two local stores on Tuesday but they didn't have DA yet. I guess Belgium has to wait until November 14th.
PS: Only £ 9 for a brand new release?! You're some lucky mofo's, I tell you that. Out here, I have to pay 17 to 19 euros for a release, depending on where I buy it. Some stores even charge you 20 tot 24 euros for a new release. (For the US people: that's basically 20 to 24 dollars. Go figure! I-N-S-A-N-E)

Their bargain basement is great, but I've taken all the good stuff out, Soopaflys album for £3 8)
@ Digital Pimp's Advocate: what cd store is behind virgin megastores? cuz about 5 years ago, there was a shop called Buzz and they were pure underground- had every west release you could think off.....im just wondering could it have resurfaced there? the guy usually had the basement to your random Clothes shop.

I remember Buzz, it used to be next to Dixons, nearly every album under a tenner. I don't what the store is behind Virgin Megastores, I just remember there being one.

Dammit, I just called my local CD store and they don't have Doctor's Advocate yet >:( They said it should be available on Tuesday though.
-
The CD is out in Italy too, but standard edition only. I would like to get the limited one+dvd, anyone knows if it will contain some bonus tracks?
-
I received the special edition with the mail today. Got no bonustracks, just a dvd with a couple of interviews.. Nothing really special.
