...sounds like a Dj Quik beat.
Agree?
-
Yes it does. I thought that when I was listening to the song a couple days ago.

Sounded like Dre from the get go.
-
Not to me. I knew it was a Dre beat.

I think he's just saying it sounds like one, not that is sounds like he produced it

That's what I thought he was saying. It's true it sounds like a Quik beat.

LMAO, I was seriously just thinking of that same idea this morning, I was like "Dre must've been listening to a few Quik beats when making that one"... 8)

i can understand why someone would think its a quik beat. the bassline is definitely something quik would use..
-
Dre jackin some of those Quik claps on these new beats
I love the claps tho, sounds good
-
I never thought it sounded much like Quik...but more like Dre tryin to do a bit of a Neo Soul beat. The drums sound similar to that off-beat cymbal and snare/clap that Musiq and Hi-Tek have used, and that keyboard he teases us with sounds real Neo Soul to me. I wish he had got off more on those keyboard chords tho...and I wish he had changed it up for the hook.
