Quik is the best producer on the mic for the West.

The Rza is up their for the East, except his shit gets complicated at times.

I love when Pete Rock raps, it is always really dope.  Ya'll forgot Guru, the man has actually done quite a bit of production on his own joints and for other people.  And of course Quik, he is prolly the best overall i would say.
But my favourite is Warren G!

Damn straight! RZA sounded like a retard on that song ''the rhumba''. Plus he couldn't produce if his life depended on it.

But DJ Quik....that's another story. ;D

You guys are funny, saying RZA can't "produce if his life depended on it"?  My question for you BL7, when the fuck did you start listening to rap?  Maybe you missed Enter the Wutang(36 Chambers), GZA (Liquid Swords), and Raekwon (Only Built for Cuban Linx).  You realize, almost everyone considers all three hip hop CLASSICS, and RZA produced the majority of all three albums.....

Dr. Dre
DJ Quik

They ain't got the dopest lyrics but they flow nice and they got ill voices for the mic.

I don't care HOW many people liked those albums. I've heard snippets from all those(Except Raekwon), and I don't like ANY of them. Shit, I don't like ANYTHING by Wu-tang, period. Their music is too weak for me. How does that make me a hater? If you like 'em, then keep bumpin' 'em, but I shouldn't get flamed for my opinion.

And as for your question, I've been listening to Rap ever since the late 80s.

Yes, the late 80s and I don't(and probably never will)like the Wu. So say what the fuck you want, but I don't give a shit anymore.

I'd pick up RZA, Pete Rock, Warren G, Dr.Dre, Brotha Lynch Hung, EPMD, and Mos Def. Quik is a brilliant producer, but his raps about hoes really make me sick. He's wonderful when leaves that hoe theme.

Yo BL7, you a retard from the start. What would you say if we told you that Dr.Dre is a shitty producer, that his hits are weak, that Quik beats sound like shit? Rza equals dope music like 2 times 2 equals 4. Grow the fuck up, goddammit.  >:(

Title: Re: Best Producer on the Mic???

*Sigh* This'll be my last reply in this thread. Siberian, if anybody here said that Dre or Quik are shitty producers, That's their opinion. I can't expect EVERYBODY to like Quik and Dre's shit. Just like y'all shouldn't expect me to like Wu-tang, and RZA's producing. I ain't did shit to anybody on this board, all I did was give my opinion on RZA's producin', but yet I get flamed for it? And calling me a retard and tellin' me to ''grow the fuck up''? Y'all act like little assholes because I don't like the same shit y'all like. Seems to me that YOU are the ones who need to grow the fuck up.

Man, I mean that there are albums in the history of rap that are certain classics. RZA is responsible for some of them, just like Dre (well, maybe not that good saleswise). So you gotta at least respect it. Saying that RZAs sound is weak or something, man, thats too wrong. When I say grow the fuck up I mean open up your eyes cause you cant see!!!
