Yeah. Doesn't mean they suck though, just the beats you like the least of his hundreds that we've heard. Lotta peeps might say some of his old school shit, like "Super Sonic" or some of the old school N.W.A. beats.
Here are some of my least favorite Dre beats:
"Lyrical Gangbang" - Least fav prolly of his Death Row beats. Drums are ill, but that guitar doesn't make me blink. 3.5/5
"Zoom" - Not the G-Funk Dr. Dre. Ain't feelin the beat aside for the horn that pops up for 30 seconds. 3.5/5
"My Name Is" - Not what we were accustumed to at the time. Beat is too poppy, I think Dre was a geniusf or makin it, so Eminem would sell right off the bat. 3/5
"Role Model" - That guitar doesn't move me. Beat is pretty plain. 3/5
"Buck Em" - I may get threats for this, but I'm not feelin this too much. Str8 guitar and bass. Too plain of Dr. Dre. I like the song though. 3.5/5
"Bitch Niggaz" - I don't think this beat fits in with "2001." Another plain beat. 3/5
"U Know" - That piano loop I am not feelin. I only like the bass. 3/5
"Revelation" - Dre experiments here with the rock n roll sound. I like the song overall, but the beat kinda turns me off. The guitar solo at the end is tight though. 3.5/5
Through out his career, Dre averages about a 4.5/5 in terms of beats. It's funny the types of apetizers Dre served us with on "The Slim Shady LP" and "Topp Dogg." Not his strongest work...though he caught us sleeping when "Dr. Dre 2001" came around.

True Lies of tha Last Meal...I was expecting some more heat like Hennessey And Buddah...I agree with Bitch Niggaz...But I do think that beat got played out at the Dre2001 board...I disagree with Buck-Em though...That was originally meant for Dre's album but they put it on Snoop's...The beat is kinda plain but I'm really feeling it...I wish Snoop had one more verse though...

"True Lies" I think is a 4.5/5. Some off the hook futuristic funk. Nice keys and bass. I think someone like Truth Hurts would fit this beat perfectly.

Yeah People Might Diss Me For This Like But......
California Love
I Actually Can't Stand The Song. The Only Decent Bit Is That Quick Verse By Tupac.
-
I'd Say Buck Em Isn't His Best, And I Dont Like That One On The Wild West Soundtrack. I Don't Really Think Some Of His Stuff on Devils Night Was That Great, Either... And I Wasn't Too Crazy About That Song With Mimi "Cops DR2".
Lyrical Gangbang Is Tight, I Think. I Was Never REALLY Crazy About Gangsta Gangsta, Though. Good Song, Average Beat.

Inco: Talk 'bout stealing an idea. ;)
And Logic, Trauma: :o GODDAMN! California Love and Bad Guys Always Die are my favorite songs ever...The beats are my favorite...Lyrics, etc...Just: :o
Bad Guys Always Die had the Guilty Conscience style verse-exchanging(indeed, the Death Row style verse exchanging), with a far superior beat. Cali Love...Just blows everything else out the water. Dre's lyrics, I assume they were ghosted by 2Pac, are dope as fuck. 'Pac, however, kills it; The world felt the wrath of T.A. Shakur there, for sure.
Lyrical Gangbang does kinda suck, yeah, LoL. The worst song on Chronic, IMO.
Role Model and Guilty Conscience aren't the best(in terms of beats), and Murder Ink didn't impress me, though I liked the sample. Bitch Niggaz I liked, but only musically. The lyrics weren't shit basically.
I'll leave you with a few quotes:
Bad Guys Always Die:
Eminem:"You never met me, and you'll probably never see me again
but I know you - the name's Slim - you want revenge?
Then don't shoot, I'm in the same boots as you
I'm tellin the truth, I got a price on my head too..."
Singer:"You ride like a cowboy toward the sun
And life ain't fun, when you're on the run
Got your gold and you got your gun
But life as an outlaw just begun
Got your shotgun by your side
Got your horse and you got your pride
You ride til there ain't no place to hide
It's sad cause the bad guys always die"
Dre:"He was "Shady," I seen by the look on his face
He said take ten paces {shit} I took eight
Spun around and I aimed straight for the brain"
"Loaded up my saddle, got ready for battle
Hid two pieces of gold inside of my saddle
We rolled two miles until we hit the spot
An old ghost town that everybody forgot
A place where they used to smoke chronic a lot
Slim grabbed the shotgun (Dre here's the plot)"
California Love:
Dre:"Yo city is the bomb if yo city make it pay, throw up a finger if ya feel the same way, Dre putting it down for Californ-I-A..."
'Pac:"Out on bail, fresh outta jail, California dreamin', soon as I step on the scene, I'm hearin hoochie screamin, fiendin for money, alcohol, the life of a west coast playa, where cowards die, and the strong ball..."
And the beats: Dope beyond comphrehension.

What idea did I steal Owen? We aren't discussing the lyrical content like you were talking about...just beats.

My "Pac's WORST Verse", but don't worry. :)
Musically: I think those two songs rate amongst the best five I have ever heard, and I have heard a lot.

Oh, cause I capitalized WORST? Nah.

Real Skim Shady :-/Cant stand that shit

No, the simple fact you decided to do a "worst" topic of a famous artist.

California Love beat was wack fo me,I be feelin tha remix alot lot mo.But one of tha beats he did fo The Firm - Phone Tap has gotta be tha wackest Dr.Dre beat ever.
-
"Role Model" - That guitar doesn't move me. Beat is pretty plain. 3/5
1) love this... have it as my phone ring tone.
2) co-produced by mel-man so its not strictly a dre solo joint.
admittedly it is a little slow paced.. but i think its quality.
-
I thought the beats for Role Model and Phone Tap were hot. As for Dre beats that I don't feel:
Family Affair (this song played itself out very quickly)
Hate in yo eyes (couldn't save the song if he put 110% effort into it)
My name is...
Lyrical Gangbang
Forget about Dre (song is played out, beat is forgetable compared to other songs Dre's done)

I disagree with what everything you said...LoL...that's okay though. I DID AGREE with that "Phone Tap" beat...it is very hot, almost 2001ish.

#it s off the hook

Super Cuz is CRAAAAZY.

I thought Phone Tap and Cali Love were nice beats. I agree with Super_Cuz in that I like the remix better of Cali Love though. As for worst? I would have to go back to the Wreckin Crew days with Give Me Some Juice.
