Predictions anyone?
Im goin for 2 - 1 the Bhoys, iv said it many times before, at Parkhead we fear NO ONE.
Even though, il admit, i enjoy seeing Man Utd get it up Chelski and Arsenal, im gona have to quote Liam and Noel Gallagher for this one.
"WHO THE FUCK ARE MAN UNITED!?"
Second biggest club in Britain.
-

A quick word before i head down the boozers...
Tonight, we must gather our flags and banners
And march to the Holy Ground Our Father and His Father before him stood
Once again, we must repel foriegn invaders, this time from across our border
We will put them to the sword in our mighty arena
They will fall like many before them, Italians, Spanish, Germans
And many others could not take our fortress
We fear no one when we have hopes in our hearts because we never walk alone
When the battle is over, we will return to our ale houses
And our songs of victory will echo into the evening sky!

Celtic will up there game but id expect us to win. Not sure on the score though, i just hope ferguson doesnt make too many changes.
-
Celtic won, props to celtic
-
Congrats to celtic, we overplayed, too many passes and not enough penetration in the fianl third. We were the better side but if you dont score a goal thats what will happen. Great free kick by nakumura. I knew saha would miss the penalty, he always puts it in that corner. Ronaldo should have taken it.
-
daaaaam. nice job celtic, i was happy ;D and the goallie will need a statue i guess :D dammmmm, 60.000 man screaming "You'll Never Walk Alone' beatifull!!!! and why wasnt the goallie allowed to go into the stands ??? he would have stand there partying his ass of. great show!
the match of my dreams is now: Celtic - Fc Utrecht
-
Fergie will be raging at Saha, not just for the penalty but when he just stopped because he thought he was offside. 1st thing a manager will tell you, play to the fuckin whistle.
But you never rubbed it in 2 me, first leg so i wont bother. Absolutly fantastic goal though. Thats celtic definetely qualified. Mathematically impossible for us 2 go out.
YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

we were just trying to go home with the 0-0 result, and that was stupid, the goal came from an incredible free kick (it was almost the same fucking spot and I knew that nakamura would score).... and I knew that saha would try to place the shot in the same place like he always does, and I knew that boruc would save that....I'm fucking crushed....
-
Still sure Man Utd will go through though, Anyone know who the top 2 teams from our group play in knockout phases, is it planned or just luck of draw?

im gutted also, gonna have to listnen to my chelsea mate going on about it all day at work. Its not a disaster though, we only need a point to qualify. Overall, success in the league is much more important to me than the champions league.

Pretty sure its just a draw but teams who came first will play sides who came second.

Yeah I know it ain't a disaster, but damn, we could have secured our place in top two, but nooooo......yeah, winning the title in premiership is way more important, cause I hate those chelsea bastards ;D

If we can get a result on sunday things will be all good again. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for us, when your playing well you sometimes need a result like this. The worrying thing is that we have now lost 4 games this season , once in the league, twice in europe and once in the carling cup, each time its been 1-0. We seriously need to improve are away form in the champions league.
-
Yeah, you're right about playing away, things need to change....and I know I won't remember this match after couple of days, and we have our reaaaally important match against chelsea on sunday....
-
Man Utd seriously need to perform when the heat is on.
Overall, you may say they deserved something but if you look honestly - they didn't create many chances.
18m for Carrick again needs to be addressed. Money well spent? Perhaps too early to tell, but again he went missing under pressure.
I give credit to Strachan tho for the 3 points. First half we were lucky to come in at H/T @ 0-0.
But the subs changed the game, we managed to neutralise Man Utd a bit better and with someone like Naka around, he is capable of winning games.
I'm just relieved Rooney didn't get many chances and a few killer passes just didn't find their mark 2nite or it woulda been a different story.
-
apart from the 1 terrible tackle from balde it was pretty good spirited game well improve im sure well we gotta for sunday if we wanna win
-
I think celtic will take it, 1-0
I should of went down the bookies with that 8)
Great game, i still cant believe we are thro!!!!!
I ended up in casulty after the game tho, the celebration when naka scored was wild, and i went over on my ankle.
Stayed out drinking till about 1.30am twhich didnt help!
So, Im in crutches and in abit of pain... but i wouldnt change any of it for the world 8)

Yeah, carrick was MIA, but so was scholes and that's because we tried to come from the flanks, rooney on the left side and ronaldo on the right....yeah we controlled the game, but goals are the ones that matter, so I won't bitch about it at all....strachan did some nice and encouraging substitutes that maybe changed the game......I envy u that u have a talent like nakamura in free kicks..

I thought Carrick and scholes played really well, they were the reason why we had so much of the ball. Are problem was we didnt get enough supprt to saha, the movement and changing of positions betwee Rooney, saha, giggs and ronaldo was excellent though.
Mac, u still want strachan sacked ?

In a word - no.
And yes I have changed my tune. He has me believing in him now. Congrats to him.

Scholes used the ball very well first-half, MOTM for me was Naylor, he did a very good job indeed.
BTW, fantastic effort from Naka, again, but honestly his performance before the strike was awful. Congrats to Celtic for qualifying, impressive wins over Benfica and Utd, you've had some great CL nights in the last years, and it's just reward for you to finally advance.
-
and it's just reward for you to finally advance.
Here here!!
We finished with 9 points 3 seasons ago and finished 3rd in the group.
Whereas Rangers progressed last season with a measly 7 points.
Justice is down finally, we are there on merit!!!

Next time, Jarosik from the start, Sno wasn't at the races.

Very true, he had a major influence on how the game turned out.

Agreed, too much too soon for him. Hes only 19. lol

Age shouldnt be an used as an excuse.. look at rooney.
I dont think he is up to the job to be honest!

Age isn't the same as experience.
Rooney has been at Euro 2004 and a World Cup.
Sno is going from an average Dutch side to Celtic. Straight into crucial games such as the one last night.
It will take time, but you have to excuse him.

He was a great player before all the experience.

Exactly, i just cant see why GS would play such a player in one of the most important games of our season.
It will take time, but you have to excuse him.
He simply is just not good enough for celtic...
-
Maybe he is good enough, maybe he isn't but it is FAR too early to tell.
All I saw was a lost boy as a result of lack of experience, if he plays that way for 3 seasons in a row then fair enough.
Plus it's a bit extreme to compare sno to one of the best 5 players on the planet.
-
I really didnt think sno was any worse than the rest of our midfield first half, looked a little lost and in experienced but so did Bobo Balde.
