I ask because I have a bitch of a time shaving. Such a pain in the ass, always leaving my skin so goddam raw. Any products you recommend? Creams, blades, lotions, whatever.
I use the Gillette Fusion Power with Gillette Fusion HydraGel and use their After Shave Gel.

I shave with Butter, it leaves me smelling good ;D
-
Nivea For Men is a good aftershave balm. I use Gillette Sensor disposable razors, but they're not good. I'm gonna switch to an electric razor soon. I just buy the cheapest shaving cream on the market.

you cant get razor bumps using clippers. i advise people with that curly, nappy, facial hair(anybody who isnt white or asian) to use trimmers instead of blades. those bumps are so fuckin annoying, its disgusting. and, you get a cool line when using clippers.
what you use sik? does your beard grow in staright, or all curly and nappy and shiet?
-
I got curly, nappy ass hair so my facial hair always gives me problems. That's why I just rock a beard, but trim it and keep it low.
I'ma look into some clippers though. No matter what kind of razor I use or how I shave, I still get fuckin razor bumps. It's a bitch.

dude, i have the exact curly, nappy hair. go to a beaty salon, and get one of them clippers they use at them barber shops, you know them fine trimmers that are used to line yo hair in the back, and around the ears? i got a cool as one for $40. maybe be expensive, but once you buy it, you keep using it without any maintainance...or switching blades like the mach 3.
i gots a beard too, i keep my shit lookin sweet! 8)
-
lol i can never keep the same style
i gotta switch it up n get me a different look everytime
sometimes i gott the goatee, sometimes a full beard, sometimes a lined-out one, etc etc

Same here because you never know when you'll end up in a police line-up. It would be a shame if they could identify you.

I use my clippers to shave. Obviously it doesn't leave you with a baby face, but it helps if you're going to use a blade to shave, after. It's a lot less hassle, IMO. I have real thick facial hair, so I'm always irritating my skin, but now that I use my clippers, that doesn't happen anymore.
-
Having a beard would solve the problem for sure but I have to be clean shaven for work related reasons. I had a better shave today, I tried heating up my face first with a rag soaked with hot water, it's suppose to loose up the pours and make it easier.
-
i suggest you use an electric razor, i know it's not as good as manual razor but most people who have a sensitive skin use them. Personnaly i have a gillette mach 3 and i use the blue gilette gel for sensitive skin. Then i parfume myself with swiss army or a polo aftershave

-
also i always, if possible, shave after a good shower, it really makes a difference, the hair are more tender and the skin is smoother
-
^ I shave while taking a shower
just take a little mirror and do it real quick...
would be harder for people with sensitive skin tho, because you gotta take your time
-
I just go with a disposables.
-
Well my shit is mos def curly and nappy. I use the Mach 3 and Gillette sensitive gel. Hears my secret to keeping bumps at the minimum. Buy you one of those mirrors that don't fog up in the shower. Take a hot ass shower and after you've been in there like 5 minutes and its like a sauna thats when you shave. That shits like a hot knife on butter. And I go against the grain and i come out smooth as hell.
I can't fucks with an electric cuz it doesn't cut me close enough - i'll be grainy by the end of the day.
-
I go to the barbershop
-

are you white?
-
I take a really hot shower, I have a mirror in the shower. I use Tolsom mens skin care line. First wash, then shave with the gel and mac 3 razor, then after the shower i use an after shave splash which makes me feel dope, then i use a skin smoothing gel, then finally an spf 15 moisturizer. sounds like a lot but takes no more time then before. I would have to use after shave and lotion anyway cuz i get ashy but this stuff works like a charm!
-
i use an electric shaver cost me like 60 bux.
-
i got one of those green gillete super turbo nitro vibrating triple razor blade holding things...
dont get a rash if ishave every other day.. if i know i gotta shave i'll skip the day before so i got no drama on the night..
oh and i use gilette foam most of the time.. not keen on gel
i've also started shaving in the shower lately (using a hand mirror to see)
never electric shaved in my life
-
ive always used a norelco electric shaver, cos i have pretty light facial hair, and only have to shave every few days.
might start using a razor soon though, just to get a cleaner shave. but man, i just remember when i used to do it back in the day, i'd cut myself like crazy, so thats kinda why i went to electric shaver. but are there any razors that you guys use, that may have some special features to limit the nicks and cuts for amateurs as myself? haha
-
well its like this.. if i use a cheap ass bic razor i'll be cut to shit..
so got a fly one 8)

How do you guys shave in the shower without the mirror fogging up? You have some type of anti-fogging spray or your showers aren't that hot?
-
i actually dont use shaving cream or anything all i need is warm/hot water and a single blade razor. that shit actually makes my skin smooth as hell and helps clear up dead skin. ill post pix of wat i shave wit later.

my shower doesn't get that hot
-
il use an electric clipper first give it the quick once over, then switch to the razor and cream and go against the grain for that smooth finish.
I had the whole dome shaved wit a real razor once at the barbers, the feeling was pleasurably refreashing. Real razors kick ass, feel so freash and clean.
-
I use an electric razor. My skin's kinda sensitive, but that doesn't fuck it up.
I hate how my facial hair grows though. It's real heavy and fast growing at the sideburns and my chin, but I couldn't grow a mustache, a goatee or a full beard to save my life. My sideburns don't grow so far down that it would connect with the rest. It sucks, and I've been wanting to grow a beard for years now. I've been growing a beard on my chin for a couple weeks now, just to see how it would look, but I don't know yet if I'll keep it or not.
