Last book I read willingly was called 'The Well' by Mildred D. Taylor.

Last book I had  to read was 'Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry' by Mildred D. Taylor.

Good stories though. No frontin'.

haha thats tight, damn that takes me back, we had to read that rolling thunder book in 8th grade as a class, it really was pretty good.

Haven't bought a new book for a while but the last book I bought and read was "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" which I recommend, I'd really like to find out how much of that was fiction; scary shit if a good bulk wasn't embellished.

seriously though, if your talking about labyrinth by randall sullivan, i own it and read it twice. really good book, but some of the info about the rappers isnt accurate.

good books i recommend are:

(gangs and shit)
Monster: The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member  by Sanyika Shakur

(political stuff)
Seize the Time: The Story of the Black Panther Party and Huey P. Newton by Bobby Seale
The Autobiography of Malcolm X : As Told to Alex Haley
Assata: An Autobiography by assata shakur

(women)
The Game by neil strauss

(other)
Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge

(conspiricies and shit)
everything is under control by robert anton wilson (definitly not a book you want to read when your stoned :-)

these are the ones that stick out in my mind right now.

currently i'm reading a book about a french hunter, it's a old book from 1956 but the book was written in a time when there was no protections for any animal. Dude hunted every animal on the 5 continents and he teach how to respect the nature, how you can hunt and respect the animal at the same time. It's all little stories. The coolest one is about chasing the kodiak grizzly in canada, he's saying that that bear is the most dangerous animal on earth and also one of the hardest to kill, it takes 5 times more bullets to kill that kind of bear then it takes to kill a lion. Name of the book, 150 aventures de chasse et de peche , by tony burnand

I like short story books, eudora Wealty and Raymond Carver are my favorite authors, But mostly Short Story Fiction is what I read, I mostly read compilation books so there are a lot of different little stories from different authors in each book.
