He's in the credits for the Dre produced tracks on BCT, real name Stanley Benton, and also on the single with R.Kelly which DOC is also credited in the same tracks, damn how many people have ghostwrote for this nigga, I know Bad Azz, Kurupt, Techniec, Tray Dee, DOC now Stat Quo I just hope that Fem never wrote any of his shit...
-
fem?
-
is it still considered ghostwriting if you give the writer his credits?
-
I heard about that too. Kinda suprsing since Stat Quo aint a lyricall monster.
-
stat quo wrote snoops verse on imagine
-
LOL so if this is true...that means he's a better writer than rapper. I donno his name and I haven't even opened my copy, so I donno who did what.
If Snoop has been usin ghostwriters, why haven't his lyrics ever been anything special? We still just listen to him for his flow n charisma more than anything else...and we know he's a better freestyler than "writer" or whatever we hear on his albums.
-
Say what you wanna say but this is hard for me to believe
-
is his name on just imagine? not got my copy with me right now, if so surely he wrote dre's part...
-
I heard about this in an interview with stat where he said he'd contributed to snopps project on 'That's That', 'Bosses Life' and some others....
So if snoop has ghostwriters how can he say he is really lyrical and done well considerin hes been in the game for 10 years etc? You can't be lyrical if ur rapping som1 else's lines....
-
That's "co-writing" not "ghostwriting"...
-

He wrote snoops verse or "co-wrote" whichever people wanna call it, not sure who wrote dre's part but whoever it was did a good job on that
snoops verse was wack....could have been a real classic track otherwise

I'm pretty sure DOC wrote Dre's verse he's in the credits along with Stat Quo, DOC is a dope writer it's a shame he was in that accident he was a beast on the mic too...
-
Snoop always has admitted that he gets help from DOC and others when he writes.

yeah, he even says it in part two of dubcnn's interview.
-
Damn I didnt know that shit...that kind of weak..
str8 up.
-
dont seem right to me
-
As I've said here before, I'd rather hear an MC with a dope voice and delivery (Snoop) spit some hot rhymes that someone helped him write/wrote for him than a rapper with wack delivery spit dope rhymes...

Yep. To be honest, I'm surprised most people here even know who wrote the tracks given that everyone seems to just download their albums.

Co-sign with all o that.

You guys act like Snoop's all that lyrical to begin with. It's never been about his lyrics, but about his delivery. Snoop's not a great writer. If an assist makes him sound better than so be it.
-
Stat's credited on Boss' Life, Round Here & That's That, but not on imagine.
-
damn i wonder what he wrote on "Round Here". that's one of the best songs snoop has done in years.
