Title: MF Doom
Post by: rik on December 05, 2006, 08:54:36 PM
Man this dude is tight. I have been sleepin' on dude for a while. I just recently started listening to dude and this cat can spit. I'm loving "The Mouse and The Mask" the cd he did with Danger Mouse. "Madvillainy" and "MM...Food" are good as well.

Yeah that Dangerdoom was one of my favorites that came out last year. 'Operation Doomsday' is good too. Haven't heard any of his other albums.

Forreal, he doesnt get enough love on here and whenver there is a Doom thread the same few people post

but yea MF Doom is one of my top 5 artists to listen to, style is so different, always has sick ass collabos, any track he did with ghost was heat, with talib kweli heat, Doom is a sick ass artist,

can anyone hook up Viktor Vaughn, Ive been lookin for that.

I've given this guy a few shots and listened to his "best" albums and come to a final conclusion that's he's really terrible.  I can see why he only has such small group of fans, he's pretty much unlistenable.

yeah, you know i dont think he's had a single rhyme about 20's OR a 808 drum kick in any of his songs

i love his beats but i aint gonna lie, his rap style is very hard to understand especially if u just started getting into him

i love the guy but the only reason i was able to get into his music is because a friend understands him straight up and he translated (in a way) what the guy is saying

Operation Doomsday is really dope and Madvillainy for me is almost perfect, his style works very well with Madlib's beats. Wasn't a great fan of Dangerdoom though cause the beats didn't really seem to fit Doom's rhyming to me and MM Food is not good at all, just can't get into it. He's inconsistant, but when he gets it right he really does put out some amazing stuff and his references always make me laugh.
