It's been out for almost a year and all I can say is that this album continues to spin in my player. I probably have taken a two week break at the most from this album, but once again I get that craving to hear it again.... now for you guys.... where is the last meal?

Its on rotation every now and then.
I listened to it this week for the first time in about 3 times.
And everytime I hear it I seems to appreciate it more.

it still gets healthy rotation from me , i'd say about a solid week of ratation every month or so
it's weird becuase i went from hating everything about it to liking just about everything about it...it's a solid album i think gets better every time you listen to it which is good considering all of his albums except doggystyle don't have that effect

Last Meal is a bunch of old songs with a couple of new and improved cuts....isn't good at all.
I REALLY HOPE that his new joint will be better,in terms of production and lyrics.

I don't know... I see some people here seem to expect a classic album everytime they hear one... then they seem to take the good things from the album and completely turn them into bad things... I Myself think this is one of Snoop's most personal albums and you really have to pay attention to what he's saying... we got our opinions and ideas, I just think this album is one of my favorites albums in a long time. I bought it last year and can't stop listening to it... those thoughts in his songs are too good...

About Ice-T ... he was a real Pimp.. He used to Hustla in his early days.... now he probably isn't ... as for Snoop... it's like his alter ego, another image to portray him as... I like that image... it's funny... of course he's not really hustlin women, but he sure as hell is a ladies man... that was my point before
and about that Howard Stern Interview where Snoop is saying " i got women in the UK, Australia, Africa... just waiting for their turn so I can spread their love..." it's hilarious... I see it as not trying to be real... others might really say " omg snoop is really hustling " ... it shows Snoop's comedic side and among all the real pimps.. he is respected, at least at those player balls he is... he's not a real pimp... he just portrays the image...

it's on the shelf, and will probably stay there right next to Snoop's first Ho Limit album. I rarely listened to this album after the first 3 days I had it. I listened to it from beginning to end a couple of times, hoping it would get tighter, especially since NL Top Dogg was very tight and I had high hopes for Tha Last Meal, but the result dissapointed me.

The problem with Last Meal was too much Kokane (although he kills it on Hen And Buddah)...If you cut out the wack tracks and make the album like 12 or 13 songs it would be just as good or better than the Blueprint...

I copped my shit the day it came out,and I didnt feel it at all.
Then it started to grow on me,and is in rotation almost always...
I can understand that younger hip hop heads dont like this album(ya need years of listening,start to listen to funk).
Its a grower...A "mature" album if ya ask me.

People often trash The Last Meal for Kokane being featured on many of the tracks. I personnally think that his involvement made this album more unique and creative. Kokane is a Vet (check your history books!) and alot of times, I listen to The Last Meal strickly for him. It should have been called Snoop And Kokane's - Last Meal. LOL

It's a very creative album and didn't recieve enough credit for it's innovative sound. Nowadays albums seem to just bring the same material and Tha Last Meal put it's foot forward and almost broke through that barrier and added it's own sound. That's why I like it because it's a unique and fresh sound I can enjoy whenever I listen to it. Yes this album needs to be playing a lot if you really wanna appreciate it, some albums don't need that, but this album is top notch in my opinion.

"Tha Last Meal" was and STILL IS a decent album. I still have it in my CD player but that's only coz I ALWAYS keep DR.DRE's beats in my system (plus, I have 50+1 Cds storage so it helps, I guess...) Honestly, the joints I like on that album are masterpieces in my opinion. But the others go from average to garbage. If you remove the surplus it's still Snoop's 3rd best release behind Doggystyle and Top Dogg-minus-surplus... But when it's all said and done, I'm still suspect of Snoop's present work when he ain't with Dre... Tha Last Meal should have and COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER if Snoop had done an album to satisfy his Chronic/Doggystyle hardcore fans (those who made the superstar he is), not himself... I don't regret buying it though (while I regret buying "Tha Game Is To Be Sold" and "Doggfather")...

"Tha Last Meal" is a good album...that's it. Nothin special, it's just another dope Snoop album we could bump. A regular album. I like it, it has a lot of good songs, period.

The problem with Last Meal was too much Kokane (although he kills it on Hen And Buddah)...If you cut out the wack tracks and make the album like 12 or 13 songs it would be just as good or better than the Blueprint...
Word...at first i could only listen to a few songs wit' Kokane on it, but he's startin' to grow on me...
