I dont know about you guys but this song off the new album has me hooked. Another classic by Dre & Snoop.
-
You know what, to be 100% real, that song is not that good. People just overhype it because it's Dre & Snoop (same as they're doing with "Imagine"). Only Dre/Snoop track on that album that impressed me is "Round Here".
-
this track is dope.... I think it's better than "Imagine" and "Round Here"
the bassline is nice.... coulda done without Akon but he's alright on it
-

all tracks are good, but i like round here.

Imagine>>Round Here>>Boss Life

Co-sign. But still, the hook on Round Here sounds a bit too much like something 50 Cent would sing for my liking.
-
ROUND HERE > BOSS LIFE > IMAGINE
-
ROUND HERE > BOSS LIFE > IMAGINE
That's it.
And I like all of those songs. They're all dope to me.
-
boss life>>>>>>> imagine=round here
its my fav track
akon KILLS the hook
-
The track doesn't have to have a great beat to have you hooked...
-
Crazy>Think About It>Boss Life>Vato>Round Here>That's that Shit>Imagine
-
all three Dre produced Snoop tracks were incredible
-
This shit is dope as hell, period. I can't say if it's better than Imagine...they are both dope in their own ways. But this track here is definitely fire, regardless of Dre producin it. Snoop has a perfect ass flow on here, and the beat isn't the usual Dre piano chords...it has some kind of dark, almost a 1920's feel to it.
-
easily one of the best songs on the album
that line "fuck it if my nigga detoxin, thats mo fa me" is dope, he says that last part like the one devin song 8)
akon sounds great on it, i can't think who else could have done that hook better
smh at no 3rd verse though
-
over hyped. Did not like this track at all. Akon's hook was fucking terrible if you ask me. Imagine is dope, round here is relatively decent. and boss' life is very avg.
-
I like Imagine better than Boss Life, but Boss Life is cool.
-
It's a dope song, whether or not it's better than any of the other Dre songs is irrelevant.

now there's a good post ;D

I like Round Here better, but Boss Life is cool, I wish Nate was on there tho instead of AKon...
-
boss life is the best track on blue carpet treatment
-
as far as dre tracks go
Imagine>Round Here>Boss life
Round here is a banger, the only complaint I have is that it reminds me of "Stan" from Em.
best track on the treatment? IMO: 10 lil crips...that song is timeless, you could have put it out 10 years ago and it would have been dope. ten years from now, it'd be a dope song. Neptunes FINALLY after YEARS FINALLY impressed me, they made some bangin west coast shit. They finally justified their existence.

Boss life is a better song than Imagine & Round Here. Imagine is goood but doesnt have the same replay value as Boss Life for me. and Round Here sounds like a song that was given to 50 cent as first (50 cent left over)
-
I find Boss life to have liek a sweeter softer melody which is cool but I like the hardness of round here, you know? I don't dig that dude akon, he sounds like someone that was invented to satire R and B, almost like Kokane or something (who I like despite his cartoonish character because george clinton is the shit). also I don't care for pimp ho rapping at all so as soon as he said "some niggaz gotta beg a bitch to stay" I was like "who gives a fuck about this song? I'm gonna listen to dre's piano licks while you talk about your penis for another 45 seconds of my life.."
I get alot of replay value out of imagine, that beat bangs in a melodic way and I find Dre's verse moving (anyone know who wrote dre's verse?), and snoop's delivery is nice. d'angelo is sufficient, he does what a singer should have done on the song.

I've noticed in the interviews that that is every one's solution "well if dre produced the whole thing it'd be off the fucking hinges!" which IS true, but
a)dre doesn't have the time
b) i think making a dope ass gfunk gangsta rap record is too easy for him, next time he produces a whole album he wants it to be on some next shit at LEAST from a production stand point (case in point: chronic 2001, it was a really just a STERLING effort to update G funk and Gangsta rap...and it did so beautifully)
I agree though on a basic level...I'd like to hear an Eminem record with COMPLETELY dre produced tracks....that's yet to happen and I think it would be comparable to the chronic or doggystyle if it happened.

It's really growin' on me. I think the line before that he goes "... With Snoop Dogg and smoke some weed, fuck it if my nigga detoxin, that's mo fa me" or somethin. Flow for DAYS Snoop is 1992 on this track. The first line he trips off that "G'z and Hustlaz" vibe too. Hook is good, when I hear this song I don't hear a bunch of clowns fuckin around, this is three serious musicians making a seriously bad ass song.

thats what i think too,. and Akon fits perfectly, just pay attention to the beat only, its fucking crazy!! and lyrics wise & flow wise Snoop is on point!!! call me loco but this song is the shit!! single material!
-
This song could be a single, i agree.

the beat just sounds so fukkin clean when you band that sht in a car
