....on a different label. I know the same is for Dre and alot of other people but 4 different albums, 4 different labels.
TALK ABOUT LABEL TROUBLES.
-
Yo man, his first two cd's were both on Def Jam, but ya, i feel what you are saying cuz Warren has had huge label troubles since he left Def jam. I hope his new label proves a good home for him....
-
Regulate was on Def Jam?
-
My bad, but RAL (Rush Associated Labels) was one of the labels Regualte was on, and they are/were part of Def Jam basically. So for Warren's second album, they just put it out through Def Jam becasue he was basically already part of it.....PEACE
-
Oh my bad. I didn't know Rush/Violater had any affiliation with Def Jam.
-
NOPE! Originally it had nothing to do with Def Jam, but than later on he signed to Def Jame so they re-released it on Def Jam...
-
yea the remastered one was distributed on Def Jam
-
Guys, i am not talking about the remastered one, i bought this damn cd when it first came out when i was in grade 9!
I am saying RUSH Associated Labels was kind of part of Def Jam and Russel Simmons had control of RAL. After the first album, Warren just went on Def Jam cuz RAL just kinda merged. PEACE end of story

teecee is on point... Warren was a featured artist on my Def Jam 10th Anniversary box set that came out in 1995... Rush Artist Management was always part of Def Jam... it was regarded as the "secret weapon" of Def Jam because most rappers had no management or shady management at the time... and basically Rush would recruit artists for Def Jam. Andre Harrell was actually a a Rush VP for a short time before leaving to form Uptown.

thank you Cliche, i couldn't remember the details exactly but i knew it was along those lines.......PEACE
