Lil Scrappy's new album, which is executive produced by 50 Cent and Lil Jon most likely wont hit 100,000 in sales.
Even though this album doesn't carry the G-Unit imprint, it has alot of 50 creative control on it.

the new lil scrappy album is nice.it could be 1 of my top 5 albums of 06

Not really. They don't seem to be milking the G-Unit connection that much in marketing. If this album flops (which it could, although "Money In The Bank" seems to be doing OK on the charts), it'll be for other reasons.

Lol I just saw him on MTV Jams last night sayin G-G-G-Unit!

hahaha another loss for gunit
-
yea he says g-unit alot on the album.. so it's a g-unit album without the imprint..
lil jon wouldn't let scrappy leave the label but 50 and him worked out a deal so 50 can have creative/financial control of the album... thats why theres so many g-unit features on it.

scrappy pushing 100k, dayum, everything on the south selling good right now......even with all the 50 influence, it won't be seen as a flop though, because it lacks the gunit print...the next release from gunit has to be a certified success story ....most likely 50....or buck if he got heat, but maybe it would be better to release 50 first and then get buck out after the regaining their buzz cuz u know 50 aint selling nuttin less than jigga 1st week

good point man. but i don't think it'll push 100k.. i don't think it'll get pass 300,000 overall.
i dont know if 50 cent will help g-unit.. he might be scared of his record sales himself and he might know that saying g-g-gunit isn't going to increase sales. he might actually have to put out quality music which doesn't consist of g-unit tags.
he might leave them on an island.. but we'll see.
-
yeah im vibin, see that is how it is for 50 this time, he knows his labels rep is riding on his release, so until it aint bangin, the nigga cant release it....or i hope, because im sick off bullshit releases
i aint trippin homie, i was diggin 50's first album mo than a muhfucker, but most of the shit i heard off him since then has been garbage, i aint one these gunit groupies who checks in every single, gunitwhookid mixtape....what part they on now?? part 12314313213213213543536?? see my point homie? in the end, its all about albums.....thats why to me banks is garbage, he can make a few hits, but never put out a decent album in two attempts with everything at his disposal

So it'll flop because 50 is on it? I hope thats not what your getting at. Damn haters. And anyways, all these G-Unit "flops", if you can call selling 300-500k a flop, were OK albums. 50 Cent/G-Unit aren't releasing bad music by any means.

If you have the Interscope MACHINE pushing your shit and you're only going gold, you have failed. They have most likely barely broke even, based on all the money they put into promtion and paying off clear channel,
chill

2 years ago yes, this year no. Nobody selling shit.
And these GUnit projects other than 50s dont have a high budget. They use lots of up and coming producers. Buck said that they get lot of money from it becuase they dont use hjigh budgets.
And lol at the whole another 50 Cent project will flop. First of all 50 had little to do with it and when other artists create such a powerfull label that sold crazy numbers for 3 years than we can talk. Its normal that in time only 50 will remain selling.
Scrappys album is one of the best from the Suth this year and as long as GUnit keeps releasing dope music I dont care if they sell 5 copies. Neither should you.

I find it amusing that people are so interested in when labels or movements fall off... it's as if people expect acts to have a never-ending run.
Put it like this; I can't think of one crew or label that was hot that didn't run out of steam eventually. It's nothing surprising, it's just the cyclical nature of music - especially hip-hop, which is obsessed with trends.

I bet when you're favourite rapper flops, you claim "it's not about record sales", but since g-unit is involved, it does matter ???

He was better without G-Unit

He was better without G-Unit
Yeah, when he was forced to share disc space with Trillville on his debut? And when his albums were more about Lil Jon's beats than his own lyrics?
Nah, he sounds MUCH better on this album.

i never implied or said that the album will flop because 50 is on it.. you need to re-read what i wrote and keep your mind into reality.. not the fantasy of what you hope i had wrote. :)

do you know what EXECUTIVE PRODUCED means? because the album was executive produced by 50.
Your bias to 50 Cent is horrible dude. You were a respected 'level-headed' opinion.. but now you're just a 50 Cent groupie.
50 Cent is all about record sales. He considers that the determining factor whether an album was wack or a classic. Look at his recent interview. He is talking about topping his last albums sales INSTEAD of actually topping the quality of the album. There is no way you can honestly look at yourself in the mirror and think that 50 Cent doesnt care about Scrappy's record sales..
-
^ I like how you are questioning his logic and "level headedness" while you make "Is Fergie west coast rap" topics. With all the Game groupies on this forum, its good to have a few 50 fans on here. AND OF course he cares about Lil Scrappy's sales. THATS THEIR JOB. Nas, 50, Snoop, Game, make music for MONEY. Thats how they eat, feed their families. Every person on a music label cares about sales. They have too.

Exactly. EVERYBODY cares about sales. And if anyone has the right to brag about them its 50.
But when he doesnt sell as much as he said there are like 5 topics about it. But when Game say hes gonna do 1 million first week and then does 300.000 its "he was just playing around, you didnt actually believe him" crap.
I might come of as a 50 Cent groupie but thats only becuase there are so many completley biased comments and contradictions here that its just too funny.

i really think that it is a good topic. fergie being 'west coast rap'.. my topic can also extend into "Is BEP west coast rap" since they are RARELY ever considered in west coast conversations... Because if they were considered in west coast conversations then the west coast hasn't 'dropped off' like people say it is. So tell me? What's wrong with starting that topic and questioning his logic? Please enlighten me.
Ofcourse everyone cares about sales.. No shit man. But its one thing to care about record sales and to judge a person by their record sales. If we were to judge rappers accordingly to how 50 Cent judges rappers, then whoever sells the most records is the better rapper.. So in my above argument, Fergie is a better rapper than Common... Are the lights starting to click on for you? ;)

its interesting that you didn't respond to my question of whether you know what an executive producer is. Because answering that would kill your '50 didn't have much to do with this project' post.. Are you backtracking your words?
Like i said before, 50 Cent judges rappers based on their sales. So when he says shit about other people's sales and then his sales aren't impressive then he's going to hear it. I can't speak on Game b/c i'm not one of the game groupies.
-
He judges his opponents with sales. Snoop only sold 270.000 and 50 said his album is the shit. Of course hes gonna clown Fat Joe for his sales.
And about the Lil Scrappy project both 50 and Lil Jon said that 50 didnt do much but collaborate with him and other GUnit artists + that Em joint. Lil Jon was the main man behind the project.

No shit, he judges his opponents. lol Duh. You think he is going to diss his allies? I hope you can understand that when 50 disses his 'opponents' by judging them based on their record sales, he is going to get dissed when his own crew doesn't pull good record sales.
Do you understand what an executive producer is? I'm going to keep asking you until you answer me. 50 can distance himself as much as he want from the music, but he did have a major influence on it.. he is ofcourse, the executive producer.
