I never saw Death Row Uncut, but this looks like a cool release. I wish more record companies would do projects like this. Hip Hop more than any other genre is associated with record labels, and there are some legendary ones that have a lot of classic material.
-
Same shit different disc if u ask me.
How many times does Deathrow have to release Greatest Hits, its just a shameful attempt to stay afloat. The real fans are more than likely to have all these tracks already and most of the videos, as seen on Deathrow Uncut. Fuck Suge, deathrow died 10 years ago.
-
How about 1992-1997.
Honestly, what happened in the last 10 years?
-
[13. Wanted Dead Or Alive - Snoop Dogg featuring 2Pac and Roger Troutman
^ That must be a misprint. Suge has this on a distribution deal with full ownership of the material belonging to him so even if it bricks and sells 25 thousand copies in the US and 75 thousand abroad he'll still walk away with a cool million (100,000 x $10 a CD = 1,000,000). It's the dumb asses that keep buying this crap that results in more and more of the same compilations.

yea ..tracklist is from that period. but lotta good music was released after 1997 on DR
-
Fuck Death Row.
Puttin out the same shit again and again and fools jumpin on that shit, muppets.
-
dope
-
Can't wait for this.
Only joking, you couldn't pay me to buy it. Clowns.
-
I've got every one of the Death Row albums (the ones that matter anyways) PLUS the first Greatest Hits album they put out. The videos is a slight incentive but definitely not enough to make me ever wanna give Suge Knight my money ever again.
-
i just hope they have the full video of natural born killaz, the one on the deathrow dvd, which is differen tto the one that can be seen on youtube etc.
i also hope they have video, but i doubt itm, to sam sneed's other song 'lady heroin'
man, give suge a break, the guy helped lauinch careers of alot of gr8 rappers, and helped release classi calbums
-
Death Row is still rehashing old material and releasing yet another "greatest hits" from it's golden era and will probably still turn a profit seeing how all you have to do is throw in a "DVD" xtra and an unreleased/remix of a old ass song or two into the mix and you'll have a bunch of str8 succa's going out to get material more than likely they already have....Let it go already, Death Row is dead, there is no coming bacc for it no matter how many times you try to change the name of it...
Death Row
Tha Row
The New Death Row
The New & Untouchable Death Row
-
Why would anyone buy this?
-
I'd probably get it for the music videos, I wouldn't say no to that...Too many Death row attempts to release stuff I guess lol but the videos appeal to me by far.

Don't hate on me but i'm considering buying this because i've lost my original death row greatest hits double disc. This looks like a better tracklist anyway, also the vids would be cool to have as well. It really depends on what they will be selling it for, anything over 30 and it's out of the question,
chill

If you're going to hate on Suge releasing another compilation, you might as well hate on The Beatles, Elvis, Nirvana, and others that re-release their hits several times over.
-
5. How Do U Want It - 2Pac featuring Ice Cube
WTF? is cube on How Do You Want It? or is this a remix or something?

There's plenty more reasons to hate on Suge besides that.

you are right that releases like that are a easy way to make money....but i dont think thats suges reason to release that compilation..suge is loaded...thats just lunch money for him
its more a contractual thing with koch records

*Yawn* another compilation again, whoever has acces to all that unreleased material sitting there in the vaults should make sure more of it gets leaked. Or maybe Suge should just give Crook and East their D.R. material so they can use it to release it as a mixtape, I heard that's what happened with that Outlawz Retribution album...
-
how is it that Death Row is still releasing stuff? I thought they were done for? Is it possible that they'll keep on re-issuing old stuff like they've been doing? who owns the rights to their music now?

Yeah...I mean for one, he takes songs that came out from a five year period, and has spent ten years re-releasing them over and over again. Not only that...but most of those artists mentioned have these albums put out by different companies...and they have so many albums and songs, it's possible to do this. But with DR, it's the same damn songs that everybody knows are hits, and they end up having more compilations and greatest hits albums than they have regular albums.

I just want a DVD with full length videos - I would love it if the rumoured Dollaz + Sense video or the Lady Heroin vid turned up on one of this compilations, but this is Death Row so probably not.
