Title: Prince To Play Super Bowl
Post by: Damien J. on December 13, 2006, 08:48:59 AM
Sure, he might be only one-third the size of your average offensive lineman, but he'll still pack a wallop at halftime in Miami.

Joining the ranks of upper echelon rockers Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones, Prince is set to play a halftime show for America's most viewed television event, the Super Bowl, Billboard.com reports. The big game airs live from Miami's Dolphin Stadium Feb. 4 on CBS.

Since the costume mishap involving Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson during the 2004 halftime performance, officials have cracked down on suggestive material in the show, so you have to wonder how Prince will deal, given his affinity for sexed-up lyrical content. Prince will no doubt be forced to play a family friendly set, minus both his assless chaps and his sexiest tune, "Darling Nikki."

Diamonds and Pearls is classic though. One of two tight Prince songs imo.
