Yeap, that's what i've got when mario kart ds first came out and was instantly available to buy. It's helped me well ever since, what really makes the Wii all that being connected is recieving emails and seeing your Wii glow meaning you've got one.
...What'd be really good is if i recieved Dubcnn emails to my inbox lol but i don't think that's possible...Is it?
-
i think ill wait until theres some games that u can play online
i dont want to pay 40 euros just to send messages to my homies
-
how do you mean recieve dubcnn emails to your wii? you mean a newsletter?
-
Yeap, only recently signed up for the newsletter and around then i thought what would it be like recieving those on the Wii? Lol.
-
well does the wii have an email address? if it does sign it up and see! :-)
-
Since now your Wii is online somewhat, have you tried message boarding any computer users? If you do it to yourself then you could get the email address. I don't think i can try it though lol because you need to click on the confirmation part and right now Wii doesn't have the Opera browser, and i'm not 100% sure if it'd work...

do you really need that? it has wifi already right? I dont understand.

That's a nintendo wifi usb connector, basically say you have wired broadband, and the likes of the ds it requires you to have access to either a router or that usb thing itself, or perhaps a access point/hotspot. Nintendo were wise enough to make it work only with their products...*Some people hack it bare in mind, not worth it i reckon >_>*
In short it gives off a wireless broadband connection for the two currently available nintendo consoles Wii and DS.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you don't have to have that if your computer is the shit. My computer isn't, of course... but I believe there are certain types of wireless modems and things that the Wii will connect to without the usb adaptor.
-
yeah, you have 3 options
1. wireless router
2. usb dongle
3. wifi card in your pc/laptop setup as a wireless access point
-
oh shit ok
got it, if you dont have a router its good.

If your computer was the shit then there'd be no way you'd want a usb thingy when you'd own a router right? That usb is only an ulternative

what is there online? apart from the shop, and the weather & news channel, can you play online yet?

I believe Mario Strikers will be the first game to have that online feature

Yeap, just it isn't out yet so we have a while to wait. Plus the Weather and news channels haven't been activated by Nintendo yet, just a lil while to go, hopefully before xmas comes along. Oh and that internet browser is eventually coming out.
