This track is dope as fuck. On first listen all the verses are dope, beat is nice & chorus is perfect. I really like this song. Kurupt/Black Ty/Game all talking about growing up in the hood, Cali back in the day, Game of course name dropping but the way he does it fits the song IMO.
Great track. You all need to check this out!! Overall CD2 of Tyrese/Black Ty's Double Album is pretty good.
Here's the link to download the track... link's hosted by dubcc. Thanks Rud!!

Right on Rud I didn't even notice that. I was just upping the track so everyone can download it. I just finished listening the the whole CD 2 which is his Black Ty side of the dual Album. Shit is banging. I really like this CD. The Outro song where Tyrese & Black Ty are going back and forth about the R&B career and the Rap career is a tight track and concept that only he can pull off.

i might be buying this cd this weekend

I've listened to CD1 the R&B side once and CD2 the Rap(Black Ty) side twice and I'm really liking this CD. I'm not a huge R&B fan but CD1 is pretty good. CD2 is great. I'm really liking this Black Ty side of Tyrese. Would love to see more collabs between him & DPG & Game, maybe Bishop Lamont, G Malone etc.. dude flows nice.

Don't sleep on this people.. you all need to check this out.

Black Ty isn't a very good rapper but atleast he talks about real shit i can respect that plus he's got good features
-
I don't think he's a bad rapper at all.

the Ghetto Days song was originally just Black Ty and Kurupt, and was meant for their duo album. Game's verse was later on added. And when that happened they wanted to release it on the Waist Deep soundtrack, but never happened. So with that being said, Ghetto days and several of these other songs on Alter Ego (r. kelly, snoop), and the Black Ty/Kurupt album have all been done for about a year already. Not sure when they plan to release the Kurupt/Black Ty album.. but anyways Ghetto Days, is produced by Jelly Roll, and is a great-summertime,-kick-back-,smoke-a-blunt,-and-reminisce type of track. If it only came out during the summer, it would've done some serious radioplay.
Reference this post that Nima made back in December 2005 about this song, its been a full fuckin year of this track sittin on the burners...

Props for the info and link.. must have missed that post last year.. didn't know this was that old... still a nice album and collabs. I think Black Ty holds his own with everyone on his album.

this is my anthem

Yeah he's pretty decent. I was expecting him to suck as a rapper (remember Ray-J's lil rap experiment), but he's not bad at all. And I love the features.
