Midnight Cowboy 8) its actually rated x which was the NC-17 rating in 1969
-
well besides midnight cowboy , the only nc17 movie i really ever saw was showgirls and it was aright...when you mute it. scarface was rated x when they first released it, and brian depalma said he petitioned it and it and that's how it got an r rating but it's original review is x

Oh, hundreds of movies were originally rated X or NC-17 before being petitioned or altered for re-rating...But I thought we were talking about movies that came out and remained NC-17..."Clockwork Orange" is the first science-fiction film to ever recieve an X rating, that one was great. They changed it to R years later, but it was originally X...PeACe

scarface's content was never changed

Reqiuem, even though the director decided to go with an "Unrated" after the MPAA slapped it with an NC-17. Clerks was orginially NC-17, and they got an R after the appealed it, but its content was never changed.

Nobody said it was. Just the rating was.
