So,I been living in this apartment for about 9 months and other than a loud, bratty ass kid that lives upstairs everything is fine. The place is usually quiet and no one bothers me. But about 4 months ago some people moved in.... In about 4 months I've probably seen these people like 3 times and they're both 2 fat ass slobs that look like bull dykes. No big deal, as long as they don't bother me, that's cool.
However... about a month ago I found 2 roaches kicking it in my kitchen. I'm usually a pretty clean guy and I wondered where the hell they came from. I killed the little bastards and didn't think twice. A week later I find 3 more, then a few days later 4 more. I'm starting to lose sleep now because I find AT LEAST one of the goddamn pests each night and keep thinking they're going to migrate to the bedroom and fuck with me in my sleep. I cleaned the kitchen top to bottom and got some powder stuff to kill them but the fuckers still show up. The building is kind of old and there are cracks in the cabinets and shit so I'm thinking thy are coming over from the apartment next door. My neighbor's car is a goddamn pig sty ( food wrappers and junk all inside) So I figure their house probably is the same... the roaches are probably overpopulating their place and are spreading out and making a home in MY place. I left a message with my landlord yesterday ( X-mas day of all days, but I had to, I'm pissed).
For some reason they run their Air conditioner at night ALL night long even though it's like 30 something degrees outside. I find that kind of strange...maybe they're trying to freeze the fucking things to death or drive them away with the cold? Anyone else have this kinda problem? What the fuck should I do?? Will the Landlord take care of it?

u should go knock on dey door n ask dem 4 sumthin like 2 borrow n c if theyr place is hella dirty if it is then ull know where da roaches be comin from

tell the fatass slobs about some magical donut in China or something and how no one has found it
they'll probably go and ur problem will be solved
or you can call an exterminator if ur landlord doesn't do anything

complain to ur manager, if he tries to fuck you over, rob him.

Legally, the Property Manager/Landlord has to make sure you're living in a properly maintained space. So either talk to the tenant upstairs about having a exterminator come by and if he doesn't want to do it then contact the property manager/landlord. If no one does anything, you could void the lease and bounce.

we live upstairs. these 3 mexicans move downstairs one month ago... theyve called the cops on me like 15 times for NOISE... ive called the cops like 3 times for threats and they damaging my property... fuckin bullshit, i hate cops i dont want to call them, but i aint goin to war 1 on 3... fuck that.... they hate my music. so i turn it down. no problem, still they get mad, they cant speak english i try 2 talk it out like be reasonable n shit... NO COMPROMISE! all i get FUCK FUCK BITCHEZ

Thanks for the input guys... I sent a letter today and put the date and shit just so I had some "proof" about the whole thing. The bitches have the air on RIGHT NOW and it's fuckin 2 am and like AT LEAST 40 degrees outside. What the fuck is that about? If something doesn't get done by the new year I am going to 'opt out' of my lease if I can and bounce. I kind of got this place in a rush and didn't realize that they allowed pets in the units...so I'm sure that has something to do with it.... Old lady upstairs has like 8 dogs and 14 cats, fat bitches next door probably have a couple trolls living in their fat rolls. I wish I had the balls to go over andask..."why the fuck do u have your ac on at 3 am?" But I'm not drunk enough. fuck this shit....

Listen. I know how much you want to have a nigga moment, but use your brain. If your land lord won't do anything about it, it can be grounds on terminating your lease. You have multiple reasons for voiding the lease (The roach problem, and the noise problem).

My old Neighbors got me and my roomate kicked out >:(
They said there was a heavy 'odor' of weed constantly coming from the apartment, and there was too many people walking upstairs, they said they thought we were doing "illegal things" So our landlord was cool cuz she knew we smoked cuz she caught us one day, yet didnt trip cuz she said she used to smoke in her day and this and that, but she told us to smoke outside...But she said if we left she wouldnt evict us, so we left and she told our neighbors we got kicked out, it was fucked up! but at least our landlord was cool cuz she coulda made life hell for us...But the shitty thing was the neighbors we had down stairs like a year before that never said ANYTHING about the smell or anything same with the dude next door and he was a fuckin marine

I think you should realize that living in apts just flat out sucks balls. Use this as motivation. Save your money to buy a house. Don't be like some of the morons on here who blow their entire paycheck on shoes. Get yourself an education, get a good job, and buy a house. Apartments fucking suck. Thank God I have barely ever had to live in them. Even if you get the roach problem cleared up, I'm sure shortly another problem will arise. You just gotta realize that you have to sacrifice. Thats what you get for cheaper rent, is apartment problems. There is opportunity cost with everything.

^Sound advice man... and I KNOW that shit is truth. The bitch of it is I DO have my education (BS degree in business) but you know the goddamn real estate out here in Cali is a mess. I am looking for a better paying job, but at the end of the year, no one is really hiring.. I plan on getting at least a condo ( separate unit ) by the end of next year... dumping a thousand bucks each month on RENT is bullshit. I don't know how people could do that their whole lives...

I rent a house now. Im only 23 and still in school. I dont have the money to buy yet...But thats why im getting and education, so i will be able to buy my own house.
