Dam..."Bad Intentions" sounds SO MUCH BETTER unedited! It's like a whole different song, LoL.
Anyway...I just got the album and I honestly can say "On The Blvd." does NOT sound like a Dre beat. I never heard this song prior to buying it today; and I could tell this was a non Dre production.
And God dam...Shaunta is a freaky bitch.
So far, the album isn't bad...I haven't peeped all of it yet.

I think the Toi song "Everytime" shows Soopafly and Toi are a perfect match from their tracks on "R.A.W." and "Ballad Of Jimmy Bones." All those songs are great.
Also, the song, "Ridin High" features a singer named R.C. Is it just me or does he sound like the same R.C. from, "Dr. Dre Presents...The Aftermath"?
???
-
probably is, it makes sense, peace.

I wasn't too sure that "On The Blvd" was a Dre beat despite what everybody said and I was right: Jelly Roll produced that joint (a superb effort when compared to the bullshit he did on "Last Meal"). And, NO, Kokane is not listed as the voice in the background but a chick (I assume) called Mamie Gunn. Go figure... Also, DRE DID NOT PRODUCE "BAD INTENTIONS"! This was a major surprise. He actually co-produced it but Mahogany is listed as the main producer. And "The Wash" is a Dre/DJ Pooh collabo. DRE only did the Busta joint ("Holla") and the Knoc-turn'al joint ("Str8 West Coast"). Which probably means that he's busy workin' on "Detox" and "Oh My God" (hopefully). Others "big" producers include Soopafly, Mel Man, James Poyser (Bilal) and Timbaland. I'm yet to listen to the entire album but it sounds tight so far... Go get it, y'all...
-
I knew there was something a little off with "On The Blvd." It sounded a little sloppy.
-
The drums for "Bad Intentions" ARE NOT DR. DRE DRUMS. Mahogany must have layed those down. But the atmospheric/futuristic sounds in the song are signature Dre...same with the low sounding violin. The flute doesn't really seem like Dre either.

This soundtrack is fuckin dope. i cant stop listening to it. the wash is the best song ever.
Peace
-
LoL..me and NIK are gonna have to buy them from best buy lol... CD trade didnt have them >:(
-
I bought it first thing in the morning...... My favorite tracks
1. Xzibit- "Get Fucked Up With Me"- grows on you, great chorus
2. Knocturnal's joint- Yo, Knoc is way tighter than Hittman, Dre should hook him up with an album
3. Snoop and Dre- The Wash- Classic joint to roll too, gives me that feeling from back in the day
4. Bad Intentions- Knoc is dope, and the flute in the beat is tight
-
yeah its defnitly dope, but the xzibit track could have been better. and yeah Im pissed my cd has a big azz scratch right when the wash song starts and cant even bump it for 2 minutes.

I'm pretty sure that Kokane is still the person singing on "On The BLVD"... it sounds TOO MUCH like him. It's him. I think they just didnt credit him. On some parts of the song you hear this girl in the backround, backing up Kokane... I think that's Mamie Gunn.
-
i bought it on monday
-
Mellowman, can u verify if thats Kokane singing the hook for us?

Mellowman, can u verify if thats Kokane singing the hook for us?
I'm 90% sure that is Kokane under his alias.
-
I can verify it for you just by hearing his voice...
I dont know if it's his alias or not.. I still think Mamie Gunn is the girl in the backround backing up Kokane. Could be though.
-
I actually myself think it's Kokane, but I dont think it sounds like him that much...Listen closely...It sounds like another George Clinton wannabe just like on "Blow My Buzz"
