Actually it is more like a cover version in Snoops and Koka's own way..It's from the Rolling Stones "Miss You"...I'm not sure if their version was the first but I know they did it

^nah I don't think it samples "Funky Worm". I could be wrong but I doubt it.

california vacation doesn't sample funky worm. just because it uses a mini moog doesn't mean it's funky worm

So this (http://www.synthmuseum.com/moog/moomini01.html) is the keyboard that makes all those funky westcoast siren style sounds?

How do you get that sound/pack on modern keyboards?

high-pitched whine/wire/screech sound is just a "subtractive sinwave". Reason, FL Studio, any synthesizer can make it really, just a matter of sertting presets. It samples "Funky Worm". Its credited to sampling that and its in similar melody, probably chopped and flipped a bit though.

def aint "funky worm"

jus checked the booklet it says: contains an interpolation of "Rain Drops" group unknown. contains an interpolation of "Miss You" (M. Jagger, K. Richards)

plus didnt realise that scott storch did the beat.
