lol damn just saw the trailer, it does make it look like a cool movie, can someone give me a brief synopsis on what it's about? Looked like some post-apocolyptic America under marshal law?

Great movie - get it. It's good, ya just have to get into it.

This movie was amazing. I like it better than most of the movies I saw from 06. The cinematography was innovative as well.

My second favorite movie of 2006, behind Pan's Labyrinth. These two films are on a whole different level than the rest, cinema magic basically. Back to children of men, you know it's great that we're never fed cues to feel bad for a character. As a viewer, we have to feel the environment to get that sentiment. We must visually take everything in and not concetrate on one particular location on the screen, it's almost as if we were there with Theo throughout the movie. I absolutely loved it.

I saw it today, wasn't as good as i had hoped, but it was ok

i agree, the people i went with didnt like it THAt much, i thought it was amazing, every part about it, i also loved how they never really let you question the facts or realism behind it, you just accepted it and didnt care

Image-wise; I think it was a top notch film.
Although, speaking of dystopias; to me it doesn't match up with the classics.
I think it got pretty cheesy towards the end... with those feds letting them get through and everybody looking at them because they had this baby. Corny. Even worse how Theo had to become a martyr lol
Most reviews honestly overrate this movie. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely worth watching and shit, I liked it, but it's really not all that.
It's one of those movies people WANT to be better than they actually are.
