Title: daz kurupt interview 2006, questions regarding
Post by: Tanjential on January 02, 2007, 02:21:41 PM
from the first dpg interview of 06:

Dubcnn: Kurupt, what's the situation on the new solo album you got coming?

Kurupt: It's my independent album, "Underground Volume 1: Kurupt Young Gotti - Same Day, Different Shit". Daz produced the whole record right there. Then I have my solo album that I'm dropping in the major market that Snoop is executive producing. I'm working on that one right now. My underground album is done, me and Daz packaged it up. Right now I'm working on finishing the Dogg Pound album, finishing Daz's solo album, and finishing my Kurupt album that Snoopy is executive producing.

But that shit is off the meat rack! Oh my god! I tell you this much about that album. Starting off with that album, I did 3 records with Fredwreck, and 3 records with Mel-Man. Wow, I'm tryna tell ya man! Just to give you an idea where I'm headed. I'm headed to fucking Jupiter right now!

----------------------What do we know about this Kurupt album exec produced by snoop? I’m assuming it’s not any of these new projects that have come out recently?

Dubcnn: What's the status with DPG Recordz now?

Daz: Soopafly is next, his joint is coming out on Snoop's Dogg Pound Gangsta Inc.

Wtf happened to daz’ dpg recordz?

Daz is still doing the label thing but it is DPG Recordz/Gangsta Advisory. I thought DPG Inc is Daz's company also but I could be wrong. Yeah Kurupt is doing is solo on Doggystyle/Koch. Fred Wreck talked about it also in the interview he did. Sounds like it is going to be bangin. Fred and Kurupt did a song with Daz called Westside Ridin that appeared on DPG's mixtape that was off tha hook. Kurupt killed that shit. I would have to find that mixtape to put it on here but it was a dope cut. That and I hope the song he did with Warren G on the beat makes the album also.
