Does anyone know where I can buy one. Have been downloading games, and using a special prog to burn the games, they are huge. They play fine on my friends 360 because its chipped.Im in NW Wales UK, willing to travel to pick it up.
-
bs. they have no mod chip for the 360 yet do they?
-
yeah, some guy on my msn has his name like "OMG YEAH CHIPPED MY 360 WOOW DKNF" and some guys at my work got it done
dont have a clue how tho
-
wow, i honestly wouldn't touch anything on the 360 that'll fuck up the warranty
-
its not a full modchip.. its a mod to the drive so it'll play burned disks..
-
No warranty = You're screwed majorly if it breaks down = You'll cry yourself to sleep every night for a good month lol.

Yeah thats true. But i wouldnt fuck with that, cuz you wont be able to play XBL

UK heads, what's the cheapest I can pick up the Core 360 for online? The cheapest so far is £192 from Play.com..
-
of course there are mod chips for the 360...but soft modding is a better idea...dont count on being able to play on live if u mod ur console...although u can now, its only a matter of time before MS starts bricking modded consoles

From what I understand of this situation, there was a high court ruling made in early 2006 which deemed that the chipping of computer consoles was an illegal act. I am sure this ruling has had a massive impact on the number of people willing to now carry out this service. Before this, it was plain selling, the implementation of the chip was not illegal, the illegality stemmed from the selling of copied dvds. As others have rightly pointed out, if you chip you will wipe out your warranty, not a good idea, particularly on these new generation of consoles which seem to be fraught with problems at the moment.
