Whci hone u think is better i think efil4zaggin is better is almost every aspect except ice cube is missing.

I'd say Straight Outta Compton, lyrically it's much better and has a lot more memorable tracks thanks to Cube. Even people not into hip hop know of Fuck The Police and the title track.
It's crazy how Dre's production evolved between the two albums though. Went from his World Class Wreckin' Cru electro style beats through to a prototype G-Funk.

yeah it realy is. Rap evolved wich means the record was better.

str8t outta compton! its started it all....it made gangsta rap popular!...who else said fuck the police? niggaz4life is close...but c'mon? only thing new on that album were the incredible beats....

i love St8 Outta Compton because it was a record that broke shit down for others to follow. But, I think Niggaz4Life was better because Dre's production evolved so much on that album, IMO...that was another grounding breakin element for future acts to follow. Even though Cube may not have been on the second album, Eazy, Dre, and especially Ren stepped thier vocals up big time to compansate. :bandit:

I love"S.O.C" because it was a record that broke shit down 4 others 2follow. But,I THINK "N.4.L" WAS BETTER because Dre's production evolved so much on that album,IMO...that was another grounding breakin element 4 future acts 2 follow. Even though Cube may not have been on the 2nd album,Eazy,Dre& ESPECIALLY Ren stepped their vocals big time.

I have alway's pictured them a double album.
but...
"EFIL4ZAGGIN" as great as it was, was missing that special something (IMO)
I Imagine D.O.C. was going to take Cube's place, but danm!!! We all know what happened there.. :'(
Beat's were defo on some next level shit for hip-hop @ that time.
But "AmeriKKKa'z Most wanted" & "Nobody Can do it better" had already crushed.
Without Cube & a 100% D.O.C. , EFIL4ZAGGIN was alway's on some missing shit for me.

Straight Outta Compton was groundbreaking but NIGGAZ4LIFE took that shit to the next level. NIGGAZ4LIFE is in my top 5 hip hop albums of all time, I think NIGGAZ4LIFE is the only album that can fuck with the Chronic.

The production on EFIL4ZAGGIN was on some next level shit, i enjoy listening to that album a little more cause that's where Dre introduced his G-Funk sound, but Straight Outta Compton was probably the better album mostly due to Cube's lyrics, When Cube left you had Ren and DOC writing the lyrics, that was a dropoff from Cube who from 88-92 I don't think there was a better lyricist in rap

I know "Straight Outta Compton" is more critically revered. And I guess it deserves that. But personally, I like the album "Efil4zaggin" a lot more. Yeah, Ice Cube was missing, but so were songs like "Express Yourself" and "Something 2 Dance 2." "Straight Outta Compton had a lot of classic tracks, but I think "Efil4zaggin" had more. "Appetite For Destruction," "Automobile," "I'd Rather Fuck You," and "Always Into Somethin'" To me it comes down to this, "how many times would I have to hit the "Skip" button, when the cd was in the player?" A few times for "Straight Outta Compton". None for "Elif4zaggin."

i'll go for EFIL4ZAGGIN, because of the beats, but even more important to me is MC Ren! here ren says about 90 percent what need to be/could be said on a rap record. God damn he's vicious on this album! When the subject turns to ren i always tell people to listen to Prelude and that's what i suggest you to do again.

Does that sound like the whole 2000+ rap industry to you?
S.O.C isn't a classic because of few fillers like something 2 dance 2.. But utmost respect for Cube!!

EFIL4ZAGGIN would be a classic except for those 2 Eazy E track that he tries to sing on. Oh, and some of the skits sucked. Still, it's a better album than S.O.C.

The beats on EFIL4ZAGGIN are essentially prelude to the Chronic, they're amazing. Had Cube been on it I doubt it would have showcased Ren as C.F.D.T said so in that respect there was some silver lining.
