Did anyone else just see this? When asked if Lebron could lead his team to a title he said NO, "he's a Nike creation", "I never saw the hype in this slam dunk MVP", "he's an akward looking jumpshooter who can't make a shot in the 4th quarter", etc etc etc.
I actually feel bad for Lebron after that. Although he made an excellent point that a lot of people seem to overlook: Lebron does have some great role players around him.

Oh, and when asked if he could name 10 players better than Lebron he said: Nash, Duncan, Arenas, Kobe, McGrady, Carmello, Wade...ugh I forgot the rest. But he said Wade is the best player in the NBA and Nash was number 1 on his list.

Really? I never really heard people compare him at all to Kobe. Mostly to Magic becuase of his size and passing ability. At the end of the day, hes LeBron and 26, 6 & 6 is pretty fuckin good. And at the end of the day, Kobe would not have won the titles without Shaq.
Becuase I know you are about to suck off Kobe now and talk about all his championships. Without Shaq, we'd all be sitting her saying what you just said "It just kinda killed it for him when people started comparing him to Jordan"

LeBron has time on his side. He will get better. Kobe improved over the years, he always had that instinct to take over big games, and early in his career he was not able to deliver in some games, but he got better and the rest is history. He will learn, he is only 22.

as good as or better yeah Ive heard that, but as far as comparing their games, no not really. Kobe was always compared to Jordan, and LeBron to Magic.

I'm starting to not take PLANT serious in basketball discussion...Just the fact that he started bringing up Kobe's titles shows his maturity level in a topic like this, about LEBRON. LMAO. I can say the same thing about Magic with Kareem, Jordan with Pippen, Bird with McHale, Duncan with Parker, etc. etc... :grumpy:

hmmm maaaybe, i definately see 7 but 95 i don't know if the bulls get passed indiana or orlando THAT easily and then go onto beat houston like it's nothing.....it's very possible but 95' was a very competetive year in basketball.

assuming jordan never lost the motivation (which ultimately made him retire in the first place) i think he very well could have won. but then again, we never got to witness jordan vs the rockets in the finals unfortunately so nobody can really say. olajuwon was fuckin unstoppable

Jesus Christ, I hate it when people say shit like this. Would Bird have won without McHale? Would Jordan had won without Pippen? Would Magic had won without Kareem?
With the exception of the 2004 Pistons and the 2 Rockets championships, every championship team in the last 25 years or so had 2 superstars. There's Shaq and Wade in Miami. Duncan also had Parker, Ginobli and Robinson for the first one. Jordan had Pippen, Isaih Thomas had Laimbeer and Joe Dumars, Magic had Kareem and Worthy, Dr. J had Moses Malone, Bird had McHale, etc etc.
Therefore just because Kobe had Shaq does not diminish what he accomplished because if you do, you'd better diminish all the legends that came before him that needed another superstar's help in winning rings.

You're right, it's not fair to compare someone who still has 10 years ahead of him to one who's finished...But do you know Phil Jackson dodges this question every time he's asked who he thinks is better? In addition to that, this is what Jackson has said of Kobe in the past:
"Kobe is a better shooter than Jordan was"
"Kobe has more range than Jordan did"
"Kobe is a better dribbler than Jordan was"
"Kobe is a better passer than Jordan was"
"Kobe has better court vision than Jordan did"
So I think if you cut out the first half of Jordan's career, it is more than comparable to Kobe's...LeBron compared to Kobe? Now that's a different story...PeACe

I saw the show yesterday moring, and Skip really let LeBron have it. He made some good points on how the media drove him to people considering him the best in the game. People saying he could be as good as MJ before he even set foot on an NBA court was ridiclous. But Skip has to give LeBron more credit, he is a top 10 player to start a team around.
