Ive never been a Jay Z fan. But this album is HOT, probably at least a near classic...........Every track is bangin, and he doesnt rap about ice or cars on this album. Almost all the songs have a meaning.
-
i like that girls girls girls Remix ..... its the last joint . fuckin dope ass sample . let me know if yall know the sample on that .
-
the industry better start recognizing Kayne West who produced all the tightest tracks on the album ......... he been silently makin hott beats .
-
Yea, the nation also better recognize that Jay-Z sampled on almost every song on his album....
-
So what if he sampled?? At least he didnt blantantly steal beats like Puffy does. Blueprint is a great album, regardless, and it is my second Jay Z purchase [Reasonable Doubt is my other one]. This album could be a CLASSIC, im undecided right now though.
-
I ain't a Jay-z fan either but this album is pure dopeness...Album of the year mos def so far...
My top 3 albums of 2001 so far...
1. Jay-z
2. Cormega
3. Bizzy Bone- The Gift(maybe the most underrated album of 2001)
-
This cd is very dope. It's probably one of the best of the year. The only joints I'm not feeling are h to the izzo and jigga that nigga. But they are there to sell records to pop fans.
-
i'm probably the only one who feels this way but i'm not feeling it much, it was nice the first time around but after every listen it grows tiresom to me
-
I just stole it 2day so ive yet to listen to it cuz i finally brought my first DJ Quik CD, Quik is the name
-
yea i aint a jay z fan either but this album is tight the best jigga has ever done imo ... tract 2 os dope n so r the others
-

Yeah the Blueprint is pretty fuckin' dope, i heard all of it, my homboy's had the bootleg for a week or so, and its dope, hella mo' dope than the dynasty which was pretty whack IMO 'cept for a few cuts...
-
I'm not feeling it, he oversampled way too much and since I knew most of the beats do the oversampling it didn't seem tight.. his flows were good, but beat wise, its not that good, especially when you know the sample and are real deep into 70's funk and 70's music like me.
-Big BpG

Blueprint is dope. And those that hate it and want to complain about it and want to argue that are fighting a losing battle. Yes--Jigga samples-but its part of the blue print..part of what made him. And I and 99 percent of hip hop heads around the world are feeling it.
-
YALL PIPZ CONFUSE SHIT.....JIGGA IS NOT A PRODUCER...AND AS I RECALL (LOL) SAMPLIN TOO MUCH IS A DISRESPECTFULL SHIT FOR A PRODUCER....NOT A REPPA.....THO IT GOT SEVRAL PRODUCER.....
SO ITS NOT LIKE PUFFY WIT HIZ MASSIVE SAMLIN...ON SINGLE ALBUMZ....
-
yo i just copped the cd!!! where is the girls girls girls RMX at >????????????
-
its not on the cd its only on the net
-
its not on the cd its only on the net
No no no, it IS on the album. After the last song ["Blueprint"] finishes, let the cd keep playing. After about a minute, a song called "Lyrical Exercise" will come on, and when thats done, the Girls Girls Girls remix comes on.
-
Yeah that's right... that "Lyrical exercise" is sick but for Blueprint to become a classic Jigga should have dropped "Girls Girls Girls original version" (the NEXT single!!!!!!!) and "Jigga That Nigga". Those 2 joints are wack as fuck, production wise...
-
Izzo is prolly the worst song on the whole thing...That shit is maaaad annoyin' nowm I hear it so many times a day...
-

Damn I'm Lovin' "Girls Girls Girls" The Shit Gives Me A Good Vibe When I Listen To It Shit I Can Just Chill To..."Jigga That Nigga" Was Pretty Disappointing But I'm Sure All The Girls Love It...

girls girls girls remix is fire.....thats the best sample so far this year no question
u dont know is fire
the takeover is fire
song cry is nice but kinda corny
blueprint the song is jay at his very best
renegade is tight but the beat is wack....it sounds like em put it together on a cheap keyboard
never change is tight as hell and so is heart of the city
hola hovito is a cool party joint but the lyrical content is non existent
jigga that nigga is kinda weak
izzo is still tight imo...that sample gets me open every time
the ruler's back is kind of a jack of the intro off his last joint (which knocked)
lyrical excercise or whatever is kinda nice too....
jay came up trumps with the blueprint...its not a 5 mic album but it does have like 5 classic songs and very few weak moments...im really feelin it.
and i remember sayin last year when most of y'all were still hatin on jay z that kayne west was one of the best upcoming producers in hip hop after i heard "this cant be life" hes proved it here and i give props to jigga for letting a young beatmaker shine instead of doing a jadakiss and getting neptunes, timbo, swizz, irv gotti etc...
this album WAS missing one thing tho...a jay z primo collabo....we aint heard them together since 'so ghetto' and before that everything they did together was mad dope.
-
This is one of the dopest albums to come out in a long minute...front 2 back a good album
