Yo, anybody else feeling Del.  He's been around since the 80's with the Hieroglyphics crew, represetin the Bay.  My homeboy just recently got me into him, he's the rapper on the Gorrilaz track that was real popular last summer.  He's real ill, lot of vocab, his style is origional for anyone looking for something different and refreshing.

Yeah, it's hard to believe because they are so much different from eachother.  Del is different from most rappers, he doesn't try to be hard, and at the same time you couldn't consider him a conscious rapper, dude is just different he's got a style all his own.  

In fact Del talked about hanging out with Dre back in the day.  And that Dre would always tell him, "keep your shit simple, try to stick to one subject, your all over the place."  And that he's worked on trying to stick to a subject, (altough I don't think he's made alot of progress in that category)  Cube said to him, "It looks like your finally trying to make some money in this rap game."  And Del replied that he had always been trying to make money but that he didn't want to comprimise his art.

Yes Del is Cubes cuzz(very very old news), and yes Del is dope, but if you're just getting into him, get Deltron 3030. Besides all the solo Del joints get Hieroglyphics and Souls of Mischief as well.

what amazes me though is that you'd think del is some huge hairy fat black dude by the way he raps but dude's only about as big as grand master flash

BTW I dont care how HARD is Del or Ice Cube. It's just Del nowadays is 1000 times more real than Cube, he's just himself.

Del is mad underrated as an MC... Deltron 3030 is simply one of the best musically constructed albums ever made.


Oh..and Cube produced his first album...

Del has appeared in two Gorrilaz song-Rock The House and Clint Eastwood. Gorrilaz are a British trip-hop group, fronted by Blur lead vocalist Damon Albarn.

Del on "At The Helm" from "Third Eye Vision" = class. That album is hella dope anyways but I LOVE that joint cos of Del.

Good point homie.  And by the way, anybody just getting Del needs to get Del 3030 first and foremost.  I never knew Cube produced his first album.  That's interesting.
