Why are people whining?
I'll frigging tell you why people are whining, okay?
JAPAN GOT THESE GAMES ON THE LAUNCH DAY OF THE WII:
Super Mario Bros, Ristar, A Link to the Past, Street Fighter 2, Castlevania IV, Super Mario World, Gunstar Heroes, ToeJam & Earl, Super Star Soldier, Dungeon Explorer, Necromancer, New Adventure Island
and within about two weeks of Launch, they also got: Donkey Kong Country, Mario's Super Picross, and Fire Emblem Monsho no Nazo.
This month, they got/are getting: Alien Crush, Moto Roader, Contra III, Kid Icarus, Zelda II, Fire Emblem Seisen no Keifu, Mario Kart 64, Bonanza Bros, Gain Ground, R-Type II, Soldier Blade.
Japan currently has:
20 NES Games
11 SNES Games
1 N64 Game
11 Genesis Games
11 TG-16 (PC Engine) Games
With a total of 54 Games
With 2 NES games
1 SNES Game
1 N64 Game
2 Genesis Games
and 2 TG-16 games due out at the remainder of the month.
So, at the end of the month, Japan will have 60 games on their VC.
In America...
15 NES Games
6 SNES Games
1 N64 Game
13 Genesis Games
10 TG-16 Games
With a total of 45 games.
Europe... has...
14 NES Games
6 SNES Games
1 N64 Game
10 Genesis Games
9 TG-16 Games
With a total of 40 Games
On the whole, it appears Nintendo favors Japan much more greatly with the VC there, meanwhile, it just gives the other areas stuff that wouldn't sell if the selection were better.
THAT is why people whine. We get shafted.

Euro Wii users get the crappy 50hz versions of the games that were originally released over here, despite the fact that most people now have TVs that can support 60hz. One of the reasons I got a US machine (along with being able to get the games for cheaper!), don't really want to be playing SF2, Sonic, etc in the horribly bordered and slowed down PAL versions.
