Dubcnn finally tracked down the illusive Alkaholik Tash for an exclusive interview. We took some time to find out what he has been up to recently, discussed the last Alkaholiks album "Firewater", the differences recording in other countries rather than vibing in the studio together has had and whether or not it really is their last group effort. We also find out the details of Tash's long awaited sophomore solo release, the follow up to "Rap Life", "Control Freek", which is due out in May.
Topics also included Xzibit, touring, the DPG project, as well as finding out that there may well be, at last, the Likwit Crew album later this year. Read or listen to all this and more in this exclusive interview by clicking below:

this some random shit to come and c this
gonna check it right now

I've been meaning to track down Tash for a while, and in the end it was his people who reached out to me to make something happen, I was real glad to get him on here cause to me he's one of the most underrated, I can't wait for "Control Freek" to drop.
-
yeah its cool u got to do this man, had no idea you had this one lined up. & yeah, Tash one of my favourite artists too, just dont get to hear enough of him especially recently.
this is the same old Tash! If you felt my music before, then you're really gonna feel this one. I didn't wanna come with a new sound, I really wanted to do Rap Life part 2! Get the same energy, get what they expect from Tash, cause a lot of people supported the album, a lot of album felt like it was a good album, so I don't wanna change nothing
thats the business right there ^
edit- the audio link is down.
-
My bad man, audio links are fixed, working now.
-
tight! going to check it out when my doner kebab delivery is here ;D
-
Great interview Nima. I hope they get that Likwit Crew album on and poppin. Sounds like his album is going to be dope once again. We need another Liks album too.
-
Yeah if we actually get a Likwit Crew album that would be nuts...
That shit was funny as hell when he was talkin' about Xzibit:
But when I saw him the other day, what tripped me out was, somebody said "That's Xzibit over there he wanna holla at you real quick." I didn't know what he was going to say I hadn't talked to him a minute, so the first thing I did was go over there, and this nigga opens the door, jumps out and says "Man I just want you to know that I fucking love you man, I love you." And he just kept saying it, "I love you, I love you!" And I was like "Oh shit!" I guess the only right thing to say in that moment is "I love you too muhfucka!! *laughs* I was like "I love you too man, now let's go party muthafucka! Let's do it!" So we went in there and had a good ass time, just like the old days.

Props Nimo, bout to check it.

Cool as fuck how they just forgot about the past. That beef or misunderstanding was crazy, kind of like the whole Kurupt-DPG beef. Now we need some music to come from it.

^ What's the story behind that beef?
Good interview btw.

Basically it was about X getting big headed after Restless blew up and kind of forgetting his old crew tha liks and shit... in a nutshell that's what happened.. but he never spoke on them or anything, u just didn't see them together anymore, and then J-Ro released "The X Homie" or something like that, which was a diss to xzibit..

Good interview, bout to time we heard smth from Tash, he's one of the most underrated in the business, no-one can ride a beat like Tash.
-
Tash is a real stand up guy. Had the chance to chop one up in a bar w/ him a few years back. Glad to hear he's back and grinding. Thanks for the interview Nima. 8)

Keep it coming!
-
propz. i was wondering where this guy been. flashy tashy is one of my favorite alkaholik. i'll be checkin for the album.
-
props on the interview
IMO Tash is one of the most complete rappers (flow, lyrics, delivery, charisma) and he's definitely underrated. I'm looking forward to Control Freak
-
A liks reunion with x and king tee and even maybe extended with phil da agony and strong arm steady would be great with dj khalil producing some of da beats. Would be good for the west

i met Ro in a record store in Malmö awhile ago. i think he was there with his wife and i was about to ask him about the Xzibit situation but i didn´t wanna bug him.
