Wow, this is waaay old news, i heard this was about to happen around the new year, there has been a buzz about capitol restructuring themselves and a whole lotta changes to heads over there. EMI is shit though, the only moneymaker they have is their beatles catalog.
I see a lot more mergers in the future, the record industry is on a downfall at the moment

you think the beatles is EMI's #1 moneymaker?
maybe avenge sevenfold and some of the lucky bands that pop platinum, but they're only about 10% of total record sales from last year and big part of it was a beatles reissue.
