Man, why canīt be todays Hip Hop like back in the day? Thatīs the real shit.

in all fairness, the other day on BET I saw papoose, styles p, and lupe freestylin over a drum break next to some east coast city building and it was very true hip hop, I just wish BET gave stuff like this DR footage the same exposure they give to people not on the west coast. and to me those two examples show a perfect example of the difference between east and west. the east coast example just has 3 skilled MCs over the pre-recored music(sampling) whereas the west coast example includes not only the creation of the rap but of the music (dre on piano, daz on beatbox-in other words, west coast is more musical where east coast is more lyrical). even snoop's style contributes to the musicality of the rapping.
