Goddamn I'm slappin myself for sleeping on this one. It's called "Welcome To Durham" and I believe it's from Little Brother's mixtape The Chitlin Circuit 1.5. It's Little Bro featuring BIG DADDY KANE!!! 3 VERY talented MC's, and a hard ass hip hop beat from 9th. Phonte is just a fuckin badass. Def one of my favorite MC's to emerge in the last few years. 9th kills it and goes on a berzerk scratch spree at the end.
I swear to god I had this mixtape but I can't fucking find it on my HD. If anybody has this song in CDQ I'd be eternally grateful!
Anyway, this is some real hip hop shit right. Crank your speakers niggaz!!!!!!

The Listening and Chittlin Cicuit 1.5 > The Minstrel Show IMO
I'm going to have to get all their shit on this computer. My other one which had it crashed along with loads of other music.
-
Yes, we will need this in CDQ immediately.

I'll take a prop! Make sure you check the spot if you don't have their albums. I included both retail releases, two mixtapes and an EP.

Don't worry about it. The mere thanks is good enough. I just hate all these leechers that download stuff that people take time to up and don't even say thank you. I'm trying to get Seer to incorporate a hide feature for links, which only becomes visible after you reply in the thread.

Uh, it was on both The Chittlin Circuit 1.5 (June 2005) and The Chittlin Circuit: The Mixtape, but I'm not sure when The Mixtape was released. I believe that's even 2004 though?
Ah, numbers, who gives a damn.

Okay. So because of a dope track Little Brother did three years ago with Big Daddy Kane, you now say Hip Hop is alive in 2007? Somehow the maths don't add up.

I think it just goes to show that hip hop will never die. There is always going to be something out there someone hasn't discovered yet. The genre is so broad, and it's been around for three decades now. I discover a new song almost everyday that I enjoy. That's the beauty of it. It doesn't always have to be something new, just as long as it's new to you.

Shine a light on me, because I don't discover new hiphop that often. Maybe it's not hiphop but me who needs to be saved?
