Well, I live in T-dot, but originally I'm from Eastern Europe, Ukraine dat is... Man, I was into hip-hop long b4 I got to North America, but this shit gets no exposure abroad... Just wanted 2 know how ppl from other countries discover West Coast Gangsta Rap...
The first West Coast shit I heard was Chronic 2001, and I fell in love with it right away... And then, it has just been like a rollercoaster ride, str8 up... Chronic, Doggystyle, Doggfood, Str8 outta Compton, Safe & Sound, Rhythm-a-lism, Amerikkkaz Most Wanted, Doctor's Advocate, All Eyes on Me... I cant get enough, and I bet, there still is so much funky West Caost shit I will have to listen 2....

Hearing a mixture of classic songs made me love west coast music. First tracks that i heard were still dre, next episode and california love. Then i listened to 2001 and Doggystyle followed by other classic albums.

It makes me realise what importance 2001 had.

I heard somewhere "wonda why they call u bitch" i dont really remember where, i was like damn wtf is this? i want this, then i discovered that was big pac r.i.p... there was no internet no homiez who listenn it no shit, it was hard 2 find some info but... ALL EYEZ ON ME that was my first cd in '96 .... and here i am....

When Bones "Tha Crossroads" got huge they started to play it here too, that didnīt do it for me though, "1st of tha month" was the track that made me go out and buy the album then I wondered who that Eazy E dude was (since they had that RIP Eazy thing on the backside of the album then I listened to his greatest hits cd and I was blown away. I never knew that people would cuss on a record like that impressed me (dumb reason actually, I know lol.) So that made me get all of his cds then I got into NWA etc...

Right.....i used to be into Eminem and then thru him i got into Dre and den Snoop and NWA

den my mate gave me his 2Pac - Greatest Hits cd and den i got online started gettin into everythin properly and got into DPG, crooked i, etc....

I was in Europe in '96 and California Love was getting mad play there, so I guess it is poppin outside the US
