Calm down weird dude, this is the whole video, just came out today, supposed to be on MTV2 tomorrow..
-
aint this the video he made when he fell off of the car during the making?
if it is then its old
-
Ok, ok that wasn't as bad as I had thought it was gona be. Nice high-budget video, I dunno if it can be taken seriously enough for Fab to move units though. He is a funny fucking guy anyways I hope he can make it big. The beat was changed up a bit from the original also.

And no, it is premiering on MTV Jams on Monday. The video was just broadcasted today.
-
I agree, he's taking a risk with this song, but the Video/Concept is so unique it's impossible to predict the general reaction. He's gonna make noise regardless though with this shit, and I liked the original beat better too..
-
Cool video. Don't know if the song will catch on though.
-
won't play in europe from there :(

^The weird thing is, in this video they play the original beat, and the one on Vh1 has the switched up beat, I like the original much better, I hope the onsmash link is the official beat for the video! Gotta wait until in comes on MTV2 I guess..
-
thanks..
hmm it does sound more like the VH1 might be the final... why change it this late otherwise?
low budget.. wonder how far it'll spread..

You'd call this video low budget? Looks big budget to me, I heard it was too..
-
maybe its just the quality of that stream.. but didnt look that pricey

No bullshit though, the quality on the vh1 page is 2 times as high.. They obviously lowered the bitrate on the onsmash page.. I don't think it's low budget though.

i've seen a making of video of the yellow bus section of them going down the road with a camera crew.. had a tag saying something to do with thrasher magazine
-
YEEEEEE nice should help they bay out

Thrasher is a magazine that FAB has a skateboard deal with, nothing to do with the Video I don't think. They were just there showing support and promoting him.. I seen that video too, posted it in another thread as a matter of fact.. I think you're talking about this video..

please believe it's big-budget when Atlantic is behind it....they was all over Frisco filming for that video, came out real good....it's gonna be a gamble though, we'll see how it goes...
-
Damn! They just played it on Sucker Free (MTV2), that shit look hella tight on TV! FAB killin em.. They gonna play this everyday at the beginning of Sucker Free, comes on at 8 for most of ya'll..
-
It did look better on TV. I thought this was only gonna start on MTV Jams, but it was on Sucker Free or sum shit on MTV2. Regardless of how the song does, at least Fab is getting on prime time TV!
-
I doubt this will translate into sales, but if he gets some exsposure it's all good.

yeah thats the one lol...
so whats up with mistah fab's connection to skateboarding? he's got a signature wheel out on hubba wheels too.. (hubba has a "pimpin" image)
i posted before that a lot of the skate industry is bay centric etc.. but fab is the first time i've really seen a real crossover in established skate companies
-
^^I know, Fabby is just flexible like that...
-
there must be more to it than that.. guess it'll reveal itself
-
^^Dude has crazy charisma and intelligence, which allows him to chase different avenues of exposure.. He was even endorsed by Ron Dellums (former senator and new Mayor of Oakland).. He's always been somewhat backpack/political, which brings out that skateboard shit, he even has his own team..
-
i want dat track in my stereo hook me up , cant wait while get it, ghost ride gor crazy

hmm.. there still has to be more to it.. pharell has a team.. but skaters dont care.. hell they wear these instead

on a level beyond this. FAB has done something pharell couldnt.. he's "in" with thrasher magazine and hubba wheels.. (both SF based)... for a bone fide skate company to fuck with him FAB must have something more.. non skaters don't get signature wheels and repeat features in magazines without something deeper going on.
Bay Area rapper Mistah FAB announced today that he has teamed up with Hubba Wheels to release his own skateboarding wheel. Mistah FAB has become very popular in the Bay Area over the past few months and is best known for his branding of the “Yellow Bus.”
"I've definitely shown interest in the skateboard world for a lot of years," Mistah Fab said. "Growing up, every kid had that skateboard, whether you could do ollie's on it or not, you had it. I've always been interested in the skateboard world, so I just sat down with Tony V. Me, him and my manager sat down and it actually came up as a joke, like 'What if we had the Yellow Bus skateboard wheel?' Tony was just like, 'Yea, you wanna do this sh--, let do it.' I was just like, 'Sh-- yea, I wanna do a wheel.'"
There are only a limited number of Mistah FAB wheels being released at first and all will be originally sold at skate shops across Northern California as a test. If the wheel sells well, there are plans to expand its availability across the West Coast and eventually across the United States.
Mistah FAB said he was surprised by the amount of support he received from skateboard kids when the wheel was first introduced.
"It was phenomenal," the rapper exclaimed. "There was just so many kids there coming out to support. I loved it. It was major just to see the difference across the marketing world to people who don't even listen to rap music like that support you."

tony v. = tony vitello.. vitello industries created by his dad (fausto vitello) effectively is the parent company behind thrasher and hubba (most famous for indepedent trucks)
just found this too.. skateboards 2 scrapers... they're making a movement into the skateworld (which is very fickle)..
